For context about Hana’s shampoo ad, her drag name is from a famous brand of electric home appliances. That same brand was a major sponsor on a noontime show where Mama Pao is a co-host. They have a segment where they visit a home that wins their live raffle, and give away groceries, money and appliances. Since they are giving a lot of appliances, Mama Pao usually sneaks in random crazy stuff in their script, like “electric fan with birth certificate, toaster oven with essential oils, rice cooker with vitamin C, etc”. Hana is basically paying homage to Mama Pao every time she mentions random “freebies” with her name.

Filipina here. Our 3 transwomen were in the bottom bc 1. Bernie did a literal shampoo ad, wc was beautiful, but I guess she didn't like get the Drag Race-ify it? 2. Captivating Katkat's I forgot abt her shampoo already... :( no hate. she is also a seasoned queen. 3. Jade's shampoo ad, is funny, creative and most especially, ON BRAND. The problem is, she was over time. And it's not fair, I agree. Sometimes, the Filipino jokes on the subtitles aren't really translated accurately sometimes, but that's just bc there's no other words for it. Especially if they're references in Tagalog, but they all did great. I love the top 6. 😢❤
