@@noirweiss This probably sounds totally insane but all the misogyny towards Sigourney on her season made me so uncomfortable that I had to stop watching at the reunion because I couldn't stand the possibility of seeing people going on and defending their actions and Sigourney having to be a flawless impenetrable martyr one last fucking time. And so I haven't watched any Dragula stuff since. I know that's super fucked up and Sigourney is my favorite Dragula queen ever but the second hand frustration and pain are terrifying. I know as a cis dude it's pretty pathetic that I can't stomach it but it was just so disgusting how she was treated :/ Still played the video so they got the view though.

I'm completely in agreement about a refreshing sense of excitement, and more importantly anticipation for this season. Just in the first split I was engaged with each one of them (also will probably reject and self gaslight in any reality where Kornbread somehow doesn't win. Not generally a fan of the way that Michele has done things throughout our many seasons... but I think that she was right this time about Korn Bread needing a wig or a head piece. She appears to be a shorter queen and proportionizing is important. I think something on her head would have heightened the look. Pun intended. Great first episode.

Fantastic review for what was a fantastic episode, imo I completely understand Alexis about feeling like out of this initial 7, we could already very well have a top four - there's just _so_ much talent and personality already being displayed, on the first episode even. The second group has a lot to live up to, but I think they will. Going from Willow's comments at the Roscoe's watch party, they were given only around a week's notice before they had to leave that there was going to be an opening talent show performance. They had to discuss and clear their performances with production before they left, same as with All Stars, and any major props (e.g. Willow's bathtub and food) were provided for them there. They also all had to do their talent show performances in 1 minute, and do them twice, again same as with All Stars.
