I feel like Suzie and Onya also give me drag, obviously at different levels, but I had heard a lot about them before they were on the show, so my mind isn't only basing it off of just what they are showing of her. I get what you're saying, but I feel like the edit/producing are to blame for a lot of it.

@ Suzie has been a pretty renowned drag performer in Florida for at least few years now. Broadway can still be her main goal without invalidating her drag. That's just more to my point that the show is not accurately portraying the level of talent and experience that some of these queens have, or is using their talents to make caricatures of who they actually are.

I agree 100% with Alexis's feelings. Someone described it well in a comment on the Drag Race channel as something like "Half the cast feels AI generated" and I gotta agree. While the earlier seasons it felt like they got real people that worked with drag in front of the cameras now it's starting to feel like they got actors reading the script of pre-fabricated drag personalities but they don't really exist outside of the sphere of the show. Part of that I believe is also that this cast is just really young and when you're still figuring yourself out you tend to appear a little disingenuous and unoriginal but I do miss that rawness from the earlier seasons.

Untucked is actually being a bit spicy again, and I REALLY hope it keeps it up because it might actually become a worthwhile thing to watch in what feels like ages. If they just keep up letting the queens gather in small groups and no guest judge coming in to kill all tension they may actually bring back some earlier season fun.

Onya Nerve's is the first original song performed on Drag Race that doesnt feel like a "drag song". Like its something i could hear on the radio or at a non drag club. That alone would have won her first place for me

I believe the first person was ALWAYS gonna pick the correct lever. Otherwise there’s two for the rest of the season. This way, it immediately goes “now there’s only one” which is a lot more tension for the remainder of the show and they just wanted to have it work for the first time for the excitement. I don’t think it was Hormona, it was just two so they could do it first and have one for when the producers want it.

i'm a kori and joella apologist it's fun and doesn't feel as forced by producers to create drama so i prefer it (i don't want drag race to feel like dragula). Also I think since a lot of queens casted are younger and started on social media than a lot of queens on older seasons who were very experienced drag queens then came on the show, it feels like the competition is different compared to older seasons imo. kind of the conversation that was started on S15

Darby really nailed it to the wall with the Penny Tration = Hormona Lisa idea. She just brings nothing to the show so far other than annoying the other contestants, and you could have gotten that plus more by casting someone else. I don't even hate her! But even with the usual no one actually goes home first thing, it still managed to feel like a waste of a save.

I wish instead of levers that they did something similar to what the last season of España did which was “El Roscón de Reinas” which is like the chocolate twist but instead of the chocolate saving you after losing; if you have the Reina (it was like a lil blind bag style toy) you can pull it out within the first 10 seconds of the lip sync to switch places with the other bottom that was made safe.

Damn, you really hit the nail on the head with the AI fire-behind-the-eyes stuff. There is kind of a vibe where some of whats being presented feels like the girls read a copy of RPDR for dummies. I don`t mean that they are dummies, that`s mean, that`s just what those books are called. RPDR 101 let`s say. And they studied that instruction manual super carefully and practised a lot! It doesnt read as lazy or hack-ish! Hopefully as the season goes on we get to see more of what is driving these girls and their unique POV, everyone has a unique POV under there somewhere. (maybe its even a couple inches higher than you think it should be- HEYOO)

Lexi was a queen that I liked right from the mtq, I couldn't put my finger on what it was about her, maybe the nerve to come in basically nude, or just her down to earth vibe? But I liked her almost in spite of myself? She seemed like the kind of archetype that I don't usually vibe with on drag race but I still found her to be one of my faves. Once the season started rolling I knew exactly why I appreciated her so much. She is seasoned, fully realized and knows her brand. I am unapologetically a Lexi stan
