Thanks for the review, first heard of this game through SdJ & had been on my wishlist since it felt like a more 'cutthroat' family game. However I am surprised that you found the 2p experience slightly lackluster (relative to 3p & 4p). While I understand that interaction with other players will be lower with 2, I assume that you'll have an easier time keeping track of your opponents actions & what he might be going for, which you can then easily 'sabotage' by sailing it to another tile, making it more cutthroat & 'thinky' with 2. Would you agree?

It's definitely much more tactical with two but felt much more like a zero sum game. I put a stone, you put a stone, I move the small boat with one of my stones the obelisks. You do the very same for the burial chamber... Out just feels like it's missing something with two. But yes and can be even more cutthroat with two.

I actually thought you were going to love this game, and I was going to see the saxophone come out. This game just looks a little bland. Maybe I don't like the cube "color" choices even though they're more thematic.

Actually I thought I'd be doing a sax serenade too. So much so that I already recorded it before I played it since it's time consuming to get set up for those and I was already recording one for another game. Guess I jinxed it!
