IMI 1080P Home Security Camera Pairing Trouble & Solution

When i buy this camera, i was unable to pair it. I though it need a firmware repair, and i ask the seller, and he/she told me to put my phone 45 degree in front of the camera. But i still unable to let the camera scan the qrcode of the Mi home camera, until i found this solution. I hope this video can also help others who has difficulty on pairing this camera.

So far I only have one of the 5 up. kzbin.infoUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe My son ran out of time, with motion detector etc. I have it over my garage door. It works great. Have seen a couple of cats, my dogs, when I am out front. And had a bee buzzing around right in front of it. It works very well. It even shows the neighbour's driveway, but only shows movement just past my own, which is very long. I highly recommend them.

Modern problems require modern solutions and you nailed this one. This works for any kind of camera, by the way. Blurams was the model giving me trouble, and those fools even use two different pictures... but luckily only one of them was needed. Took a pic, uploaded it to Dropbox, displayed the image on my PC (which has a 52" 4K LCD for the main display) and THAT worked lol.

I had the same issue and I used a different phone after I couldn't connect it on the first one and it worked. For some reason the camera couldn't scan the code from the first mobile screen. Hope this helps, good luck!

Another trick: if you have chromecast, connect/cast your mobile to it and have the Mi camera scan the qr code from your tv. Works for me.

I had the same problem and this workaround didn't work for me, I was able to pair the camera with a 10.5" ipad and the camera recognized the QR code easily, after that I just shared the camera configuration with my phone!. Hope it helps

This device went bloke randomly. The only option fix for me: screenshot the QR, saved to google drive, download to my PC, zoom the QR to 100%. In 1 sec it detect the QR. Great device to waste your time troubleshooting.

It is all because of the lens focus. You should try to move forward and backward your phone screen toward the camera lens.

It works for me as well. Thanks alot for the help. But i would suggest those who still having the same issue for not being able to connect it, probably you can snapshot it with bigger display devices such as Tablet or ipad and enlarge the QR code for scanning. With this, it can detect pretty well without needed to find any angle.

I can't scan the qr code from the cam to my phone at first. But i adjust the brightness of my phone screen to the lowest and the cam magically scanned the qr code.

It worked for me but not exactly like that. I tried this and didnt work and to make sure i transfered the screenshot to my PC and let the IP cam to view the QR Code from my 24" PC monitor and then it worked thanks :))
