Some are separately configured 2.4ghz or 5Ghz

If You have problem with QR code reading - just make a screenshot, print QR code and try to show printed QR code to your camera... After few hours of trying reading qr code from my phone it just works...

Dont worry...It will work in any one of the given ideas on youtube depending upon your luck.. I tried several methods..Neither of them worked.. At last I saw a video taking screenshot of the QR code and zooming exactly in the edges of the QR code..Place the mobile in a plain white or black paper, take the security cam in hand and try focusing the code in different angles.. I guess centimeters also matter..I was about to giveup and place the security camera on the table..suddenly it scanned the code and the security cam worked..Just to provide the genuine information i will copy my comment and paste in the related videos having same issue..

I have setup 4 of these units. It’s true it may take a bit time to setup but will always seems to work after but only when you use an android device. It doesn’t seem to work well for iPhones for setup.

The camera only works on 2.4ghz it will not connect on 5ghz.

@@Slavagb Something with your WiFi router settings. Xiaomi ip cam works perfectly with my D-Link router. But with Zyxel I have same problem as you.

Hi, If there is no scan option you can add your device manually. If you have a router configured 2.4ghz and 5 ghz separately and not auto is much better. No need to do this step repeatedly. Camera supports only 2.4ghz. Do this method only if you have router configured auto switch between 2.4 and 5ghz dual band. Restarting your router is a big plus. This camera will work with any router or any Android and iOS mobile phones.

The funniest thing here is that even it's own Xiaomi router is the router that I am trying pair with my camera.. it doesn't work 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Xiaomi's UX design department failed miserably. they should really try to fix this problem to make sure there is no possible confusion.

No need to reset the camera when you done setting it up correctly. You can monitor the camera from anywhere even outside the country.

I think the problem is the model of this security camera. This is the only model that does not automatically connect to WiFi when power is lost. All we do is reset the camera and reconnect it to WiFi. I have four security cameras; there is no issue when they lose power; they are the same model. It will automatically connect to the network

@@jeneltablando2219 I didn't. My wife sort of did. But in a way I don't know how to explain. She somehow used her main phone as a hotspot and then connected both the secondary phone (which is used only for the camera) and camera to it. So it works for her. That's all I know.
