More people need to realize godfrey got his flowers and was super famous in the late 90s and early 2000s. He got a huge contract from JFL and got rich from it. I watched some old Brilliant Idiots episodes yesterday including the infamous Angela Rye interview and the "abortion" episode in which Andrew and Charla had a difficult, heart to heart conversation. I feel like when Andrew speaks of Jim Carrey at 56:26 he's kinda describing also the position he was in at the time those episodes were recorded. He knew his worth, he knew the social impact he could have on the public, he was desperately trying to make a difference for the better in the world around him and felt deeply frustrated that nobody recognized his hard work, dedication and talent. It gets to a point where you either break down and fall into a depression or you re-evaluate your approach to life and prosper. I believe Andrew was lucky to have friends like Charla and Duval who helped him re-focus and re-adjust his aim at life, use laughter instead of aggression and that eventually helped him become the comedian and man he is today! Much love to you my guy!

@@chassidyhanley2124 that's the abortion episode I am referring to - that's what they were talking about when Charla was like "iiiiiight Chris, let's tell Andrew what we've been saying when he's not around". Tough conversation and I felt bad for Andrew because Charla went a bit too hard on him IMO but he handled it like a real man.
