Dariii in the uk I cant remember the date but I think it was around 1900s there was a football match and it was too overcrowded and people died , the people who were supposed to be protecting and hosting the event got charged because they tried to blame it on alcohol consumption and rowdiness but it was a safety issues . Seeing things like that, physically makes me nauseous. It's a sad world we live in today. Very sad indeed. And the fact that *some* of them were kids is NO excuse. When I was a kid, I wasn't wasting my energy worshiping talentless "celebrities", and thinking they were idols that could do no wrong. At that age, I *definitely* had the common sense to know when someone used me or wronged me, I knew when I wasn't treated with respect, and I especially knew that those types of people didn't deserve my attention or blind praise thinking they could do no wrong. Never have I had the desire to worship human beings. My childhood was spent in the 90s, the height of Britney Spears, BSB, NSYNC, etc, and while I listened to their music, I never saw them as gods, never even had the desire to meet them, they were just people to me. I've never understood fangirls, and I never will. I'm thankful my mom raised me right. Which is why I believe the parents deserve most of the blame (while the kids still should be partially accountable, and not let off just for their age). These parents are not only allowing their kids to have free reign with unmonitored internet access, being allowed to watch content that they have no business seeing or hearing at their age, but these parents are actually PAYING real money to take their kids to scream and worship these people in person. How are you that careless of a parent to find that acceptable? If I would have even *thought* of acting like those kids I would have been in serious trouble. I pray these parents are learning their lesson, but I don't have too much hope seeing as their kids are still worshiping a con-artist who lied and scammed them. God help them.

It kind of shocks me that young people today seem to be unable to think for themselves. Like...why did they need someone else to tell them to get some water and food. If I had been there, I'd have organised a group of us where some stay at the parking lot, some organise food, some find a drugstore for sunscreen etc... Leia Sky True, they should've been inside and there should've been facilities & supplies available for purchase, like at any other actually well planned convention. But not at least bringing a water bottle seems almost unthinkable to me, especially considering how overpriced food and drinks usually are at events (well, when they even have them haha). It was definitely a huge mess, hopefully all the 'attendees' and _especially_ the organizers/everyone involved have learned a valuable lesson here, and hopefully they all get reimbursement for their tickets at the very least.

I think Tana did this for several reasons and none of them are "pure" as she stated in her tweet. She keeps mentioning that this was a FREE event where fans could meet with their favorite creators for free and feel safe. She stated that all of the people who did get admitted inside loved the event and that it offered everything she promised and more. She stated that the creators themselves were thrilled with the security, the fans themselves, and the whole overall experience claiming that it was the best they had ever been treated at a convention. 🤔🤔 I would truly love to watch some videos from people who actually got inside because from what I have seen so far there was NOTHING inside the hotel space. It did not appear that there was any food, merch, water, decorations of any kind, booths, just NOTHING. I don't know if Tana was aware of this or not but she clearly lied after the fact to try and save her ass. I think she showed up and saw that there was literally nothing there and decided to do this whole "free ticket" bullshit in the hopes that they would have to shut down because they were "past capacity". I truly think the free tickets were a way for the event organizers and Tana to save face when things went wrong and to have a reason as to why the event couldn't move forward. Let's be real here. It was not marketed as a "free event" as she claims. Fans paid their hard earned money (or their parents hard earned money) to be able to attend. From what I saw tickets ranged from $1 to $65 for VIP. In Tanas video she stated that approximately 1k people purchased the VIP tickets. How was she planning on personally meeting with that many people!? Wasn't that the whole premise of the VIP tickets? Fans flew in from all over the country and had to book hotels, rent vehicles, take off work etc. If this were my event I would be going over every detail with a fine toothed comb to ensure it was worth my supporters money. Tana is lazy, childish, has no respect for other people's time and probably had zero involvement in trying to make this an incredible event. I guarantee you she did this solely to spite vidcon (who offered to help her!) And really didn't think at all about how this event would be for her fans or the other creators involved. How on earth can you host an event for 5k people in a month? You have to hire security, you have to find an APPROPRIATE VENUE, you need to have merchandise prepared, entertainment, catering, etc. This takes way longer than 30 days. Don't tell me you intended for this to be the most epic event ever when you slapped it together in 30 days just to rival vidcon. Like James Charles said, events like this take up to a year or more to plan properly and millions of dollars. Tana always bites the hand that feeds her, always. No matter who it is she will use and abuse them. From her own fans to seriously big time youtubers, she has no respect. Watching her videos you can tell that she doesn't care AT ALL about the unsafe and ridiculous conditions her fans were subjected to! She is so happy about the fact that she believes 15k people showed up. Yes you heard me right, she is HAPPY that so many people showed up even though it "ruined the event" for those who bought tickets. She's happy because all she cares about is herself and that false number just boosts her already inflated ego. She's nowhere near as contrite and apologetic as Shane and this wasn't even his event! Again I would absolutely love to know what it was like for those who did get inside because I guarantee it was a hot mess and just as disappointing. The reason she slapped this together with no concern for her fans is because a lot of these kids just keep on forgiving her. No matter how many lies she is caught in, no matter how bad Idubbz exposed her, no matter what kind of nauseating hate speech she has openly used, people FORGIVE her. At this point she has made a career out of being constantly forgiven by fans and fellow creators. How many times have youtubers taken time out of their busy lives to collab with her and she just doesn't even show up? Almost every collab she has ever done is either cancelled on her end, cancelled by the other party sick of waiting on her, or seriously delayed because she is hours or days late. I'm sorry but this chick isn't running some kind of empire...she has a KZbin channel made up of exaggerated and completely fictitious storytime videos. What on earth is so consuming that she can't get anywhere on time? Personally I think its because of drugs, alcohol, and her partying lifestyle. I think Tana would rather get fucked up and party then do the right thing and commit some time and attention to her JOB. As an empath I can read people's energy very easily, even when watching them on a phone or computer screen. I have always sensed that Tana is a very self-serving person with little self esteem and little concern for others. She is petty, ungrateful, ignorant and genuinely apathetic. She views herself in some ways as better than her subs and doesn't care about wasting their time or subjecting them to unsafe environments. I think James Charles is a saint for putting up with her as long as he has. I had a feeling their friendship wouldn't last long because James takes what he does very seriously and is a person of good moral character. Is he perfect? No, but he takes KZbin very seriously and he wants to have a good reputation in the business world of beauty. Aligning himself with Tana makes him look bad and I am glad he chose to walk away. For everyone who stood in those deplorable conditions for hours on end my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine spending all that money and then being stuck with no bathrooms, no water, no food, and the sun just beating down on you. To all those saying they should have brought suntan lotion I guess hindsight is 20/20. Some of these people probably came on a whim when they heard of the free tickets and saw her post to just "roll through". Others probably put some on beforehand but after 6 hours or so in the sun you're going to end up burning regardless. The last thing I think we should do is blame the victims/ticket buyers/event goers. These people showed up for an epic event and it was just as bad as that festival Ja Rule helped plan (aka "Fire Fest"). Unfortunately I only attend festivals and events that have been around a long time because they have already had many of the kinks ironed out and I know my time and money won't be wasted

Jennifer Donnelly this was a great read! Personally, I feel like it's spot on. I like to think I can read people pretty well too and to me it seemed Tana just wanted a big party for her and friends with no regard as to other people + trying to get petty "revenge" on VidCon. It was also her birthday weekend and I'm pretty sure partying was on her mind which is why it took her so long to apologize on twitter. Also, as cool as it was that she was able to get these huge creators like Shane Dawson, who has over 14 million subs and never really does meet and greets anymore, it was insanely irresponsible to have booked them knowing how little space there was! This totally reminds me of Fyre Fest as well... and they had the same issue too... where the main "organizers" were too busy partying and trying to market it as the coolest festival ever thrown and not focusing enough on the actual logistics of pulling it off. It's fucked up how she is always expecting pity from everyone... her main excuse for this has been "I'm so young and it was my first convention!!" Anyways... there's other factors of this that I don't understand as well so I can't wait for the video Shane is working on next where he interviews the people behind this event.

Listen, I have been going to a certain convention for eight years now and it NEVER had problems like this even in its first year. Yes, the venue was rather small the first year and they had to get a larger venue the next year but by year three, we were in a 10 story hotel and that has been the same venue for five years. There is no way they could organize something of that size (the same weekend as Vidcon--they KNEW that people would go from one event to the other, there would be thousands upon thousands of people in town just for Vidcon, and Tana said herself that it was free, just swing in--not those exact words, but something similar) Of course she is insanely popular, as is Shane, who said he would be there, along with others, it would be a huge money making venture, that needed A LOT more time and planning.

Patience Rachel shane is literally just as bad he just follows trends for more views he doesnt gaf ab his actual personality. also he was just as racist and tana was as a kid. he did blackface and said many racial slurs.

Marguerite he shows his true self all the time.. Shane was a kid and opened up to his mistakes and learned from them. The difference is Tana did not. Shane makes content people enjoy from the food vids to the new squad videos and just funny content which is what he’s known for. You obviously don’t know Shane that well as most of us do that watch him to see how truly amazing of a person he is. He is really generous and sweet in general. Tana just makes storytimes which are funny I won’t lie but overall her content lacks creativity and such. Tana is young and can make changes to herself hopefully. But you shouldn’t compare shane, someone who is mature, sweet and genuine on and off camera to Tana who can’t learn to change her mistakes.
