Riding for 60 years and I still am amazed at the lunacy of no protective clothing. Having had a few severe mishaps myself it would have been ONE dressed like that. Get a bike that you feel comfortable with, a bike that's not too fast. Get a bike with a hp lower than 200 because that's too fast for a beginner and after you're not a beginner anymore upgrade your bike and work up to the H2 or H2r

The big problem I have with mega fast Teslas is that the performance is unearned. An idiot can (and typically does) sit in a Plaid with nothing to do other than mash the accelerator. There is no fear, respect or demand that the driver upskill to deal with 1000 bhp. On the bike, on the other hand... if you can even half manage something like a H2, you have a decent baseline of skill and knowledge about what you're doing.

@MrAlien19 Largely tue, though. When the Lotus Carlton was released, there was mild panic in the UK press that a 377bhp saloon was going to be some sort of doomsday machine in the wrong hands. Now, to entice people out of their 190bhp executive diesels and into something that depreciates like milk, 400bhp and up EVs are fairly standard. Last time I drove in the UK I was in a black Porsche GT4 and that was like effing Tesla catnip. Almost every traffic light, roundabout, junction or straight bit of road would see some yoga instructor or photocopier sales exec in a Tesla ready to put down their phone, select fart mode on their screen and attempt to show the GT4 a clean pair of heels. It was mental. Often funny, but mental watching them lurch and weave up the road on full send. Not once did I bait or prompt a race, but that didn’t seem to matter.

Bike's power is extreme, no match for any Tesla. If you've ever ridden a fast bike you would never get a Tesla for adrenaline which powers down so soon...and then loading for sooo long

why are you down shifting after the launch??? this takes crucial time to build power. If you down shift before you launch and hold rpm at a steady 5-7k or whatever is towards the beginning of the power band, then second you hit the throttle, you will instantly be producing full power, its the only chance of touching the plaid as essentially that what the plaid does, full power the second the throttle is touched. . engines take a while to build power especiallly are at a low rpm, and then have down shift to get in the power band.

Not sure what is the point of this tbh ... one is a machine engineered to perfection for the enthusiast rider...the other is a bunch of motors attached to a hatchback car. You can buy an H2 to enjoy the raw speed and use the remaining $60k+ to buy a luxury, sporty sedan for those long trips. Best of both worlds.

A lot of those 4way intersections have sensors, to detect turn lane occupants. The bikes won't register as anything there. Meaning the light won't cycle for a stupid long time. Pair up, or angle the bike so it has a bigger "footprint" from a shit camera/sensor from 100ft away
