About They Are Billions:
They Are Billions is a Steampunk strategy game set on a post-apocalyptic planet. Build and defend colonies to survive against the billions of the infected that seek to annihilate the few remaining living humans. Can humanity survive after the zombie apocalypse?
In my videos, typically I only cover the final wave in which billions of zombies come to try and destroy your Command Center while trying out crazy strategies. From making 2000 snipers, hundreds of Titans, Shock Towers Only, you name it; I like to have fun and try some crazy stuff! I don't really go over beating the game, or necessarily make the 'Best Defense Possible' because I aim to make these videos as epic and entertaining as possible.
They Are Billions recently had it’s full release adding a new campaign, new units, missions, enemy zombies, towers and more and we have to build the New Empire!
They Are Billions custom map gameplay is a big thing now too since the release of the custom map editor in the new update. The map editor allows anyone to make any scenario in They Are Billions, from having 100 giants attack at once to spawning in a thousand Rangers!

Hpp invented 5.HPP Implemented 6.the infection already exists but is only seen as violent rioting but is overall pretty isolated in its outbreaks 7. Infected people are treated as criminals/undesirables and are executed and used in the HPP 8 Global pandemic ensues due to infected meat

It's reminiscent of Mad Cow Disease, which started when cattle were fed meat-and-bone meal that in part contained remains of other cattle. The infection itself was a Prion, a misfolded protein that could transmit its misfolded shape onto other normal proteins and it basically caused a neurological breakdown in cows. Didn't make zombie cows fortunately.

for me the newspapers are more alluding to that the cause is the very changed diet of humans in megacities. this allowed a rapidly mutating virus to rapidly infect other ppl since it specifically says they eat the sick too. the rioting and food crisis i think are more to point to the fact there's a huge amount of zombies in the world of they are billions. it's perfectly possible it's a goverment project gone wrong since they needed meat for the HPP units anyway. infect a couple ppl to riot -> free food. also it says in the newspapers that the HPP food is rich in protein. so just as stadtplandan said, it lends credence to the fact the virus developed after the HPP was introduced.

The event that caused the infection. "Hey Frank?" "Yes Bob?" "Do we really need to scan evry dam body for diseases and such crap? I mean it takes five minutes per body, and with how many that comes in we will be stuck all night and miss out on the poker night with the others." "Good point. I list them as being scanned and cleared and we just throw them into the processor. In fact we should do that all the time. The boss have been on my ass for not fulfilling our quota lately. Skipping the scan and just dumping them into the processor will save us time and make him shut up. Besides what is the worst that could happen anyway?" A few months later the first cases of infection among humans happens.

I think there will be a few expansion on to the game. Remember, this was just the Eastern front of the empire. Sill have three more fronts to conquer with I am sure new zombies and interesting maps to come. I am on the last mission myself. So far I am 0 for 6 trying to finish it. Before they starts working on They are Billions 2 (With another title next to it i think) Numantian Games should make an expansion before going to the next region of reconquest about the West and introduce 4 new units and 4 or 5 new infected zombies of the game in expand the stories because they are more than 4 maps region connected to the Great Crater but they will need to sail to starts the reconquest. This is very exciting!!!

We could calculate the number of survivors towards the end of the apocalypse when the news paper says that there are still ''hundreds of millions infected left'', or we could calculate the body count a few decades ealier. It all depends when you start counting. Math's complicated ;( Plus, we could just say that the creators are simply trying to paint a large picture without thinking to much about it... which makes the game fun!

Hey Kibitz, since the end is nigh, you can replay some of the custom maps you've completed with mutants. The one that came to mind for me was the traps and treasure map. You can get 2-3 mutants to stand over the spawn points, maybe one tower as back up for them, then it's covered for the rest of the game. Even if the power goes out, there will still be something to hold them back. Or they can be your last line of defense inside of the starting area. As a side note, what happened to Kibitztopia, Metro Exodus (the story is meant to be scary because the books are meant to be that way), or Subnautica (maybe the original if the sub-zero DLC isn't completed)? I enjoyed all 3 of them. The colonists was good too.

correction its not zombies. at no time does the dead come back to life. they do call the virus rabies z but its only the living that get infected. at no time do they even call them zombies. only the players have called them that. even the counter before the game says "infected" not zombies. just i minor correction.

one think i discovered at my first playthrough is that, when you pick all upgrades to fortify buildings and give them more defensive barriers, you champions will have 10200 barriers out 10000 hp. I dont know if they fixed that, but it makes it really "unbreakable bunker"

That 2nd last mission was really disappointing. I was being greedy and trying for the 10k pop steam achievement but without advanced farms I only barely had enough area to build the food and houses necessary so when I only managed to make 800 soldiers and 600 snipers because I ran out of food I was a little worried. Then the "swarm" arrived and I barely even saw a zombie. Was very let down.

I've been watching this series for a long time now, and I think you are placing way too much faith on the super units. Sure, they're great and powerful, but a horde of "Super Troops" as you like to call them, cost for cost, are more plentiful and have a greater mass firepower. on top of that, it's not nearly so devastating when you lose one or five, because you've always got ten more in reserve if you need.

@@Hargrovius honestly, it doesn't matter how badly translated the lore was, nothing in this campaign made any kind of sense from start to finish in the first place. It's the type of thing that someone with almost no experience and little effort would write up if they were told to quickly write up a post-apocalyptic story that feels cool enough at first glance and can be jammed in because everything has to have some sort of lore nowadays. Now I get that the lore was at best marginal for this update. I very highly suspect the campaign was only meant to showcase the new features. And that's perfectly fair. But that doesn't mean you have to insult your players intelligence with grade school level of writing. And I want to make clear that even though I'm being very dismissive, I'm not trying to shit on the devs here. Writing is hard. Writing on very limited space even more so. But these kind of mistakes are exactly what professional writers will try to avoid. Their job is to breathe life into a world with tiny tidbits of text and little scraps of information. And this takes a lot of practice/experience. There is a reason why it's a profession and I'm just always a bit irked when I can clearly see that the skill that goes into writing is undervalued this much.
