I remember you could option select with it. Since it was a heavy, it would proratize the parry option if an attack came from top. And if you missed the parry, or something else came out, you would do the move for a nice 45 damage... Or something like that. Can't remember what kind of GB vulnerability it had though.

Same whenever I first get on I always pick Orochi as a warm up. Because when I first got the game Orochi was the only one I liked playing as. Surprisingly enough, I don’t struggle with Orochi anymore Most of them will start a fight with an overhead attack, whether it be a light or a storm rush is up to them, but it almost always starts with an overhead for me, when things get dicey, they dodge attack, but the attacks always come from the direction they dodge in, like if they dodge to the right their attack comes from the right It’s just how it plays out every time, it’s like a song constantly on repeat, Orochis have become predictable and can only really beat me through light spam and storm rush spam, and even then, that can become so predictable The only spammers I struggle with are Nobushi, Valkyrie and Raider, everyone else is just a matter of catching them, and they can be pretty predictable, but almost every Raider’s light spam, every Valk’s light spam, every Nobushi’s light spam, they’re all different in a way, a way that makes them hard for me to catch, but Orochi is too easy to beat (at least when I’m playing Warden)

A common tactic I've seen in A LOT of duels, is spamming forward dash light again, and again, and again, and finally finishing it off with a kick, then dodge forward to bait. Pretty annoying tbh, and I play Roach quite often

I'll just say this, if every assassin is like Orochi the game would be 10x more fun, for the assassins anyway, the amount of utility Orochi has is balance, I say amount of utility not the utility's strength because that part is not balance, the choices Orochi has is perfect for For Honor. HL has always had the worst matchups in the game and is now currently countered by basically the entire roster. This is no exaggeration, his entire offense just crumbles if the opponent has a dodge attack or equivalent tool to punish bashes. Highlander is fucking dogshit

@@massivegat5087 I love what highlander is and has to his kit. But my god is he so easily dismantled by the roster. Even on a just pure hit damage perspective. Highlander without feats hits a max single hit of 30 with his GIANT sword, y'know who else can hit 30s without feats? Almost every single hero ever, even the smallest of hero weapons can without feats throw out 30s. OS is so high risk low reward it's no wonder Highlanders are only called lightlanders. I really think highlander should of been a heavy too, hes essentially a pseudo heavy already. Jorm should of been the hybrid it fits far better.

@@TheBurningcage27 Yeah, I've always felt the design of DS was very heavy-esque, but even disregarding labels I think he's also poor in the functions you'd associate a heavy character with as well. Why does he only have 125hp? It makes no sense. I hit rep 70 on him long ago and haven't played the character in years and can quite honestly say that I think the character was never even finished. Aside from Conq, HL is the least mechanically sound hero in the game and holds up terribly. He is now massively outdated and very very weak, it's a shame a character ever has to find themselves in a spot like this. I can think of legitimately no reason to play HL or other bottom tiers for any reason other than just genuinely loving the character, there's certainly no gameplay incentive.

Orochi is annoying to fight against if the opponent mastered using him but if they haven’t then they can be taken out easily. The thing is due to the games age most people who use Orochi know how to use him At launch the Orochi wasn’t even considered worth it. Especially if you didn’t play the campaign and weren’t used to to him at all. Keep using Orochi. It’s very rewarding to play as him since you’ll be untouchable
