Thanks as always. to Ubi and the FH team for allowing me and others to get early access and make videos like this. Ocelotl is fun, press buttons and watch things happen, but imo the stance feels like a last minute addition. I am really happy that the Ocelotl has the weapons that he has. I also really hope that he speaks in the Nahuatl language in combat too. I am kinda sad that his scout feat doesn't use the death whistle, but I'm hoping that Ubi can change that pretty easily. Overall I definitely think I'm gonna give Angry Aztec Man a try.

On the warriors den stream the devs mentioned they had somebody that speaks Nahuatl do lines for the character and even videos online show that Ocelotl does indeed speak Nahuatl during combat.

Honestly I was expecting way more in the T1 mythbusters, they actually did a pretty good job on it no matter how you actually feel about the feat. Edit: After getting my hands on the hero I did some “Mythbusting” and confirmed you can jumpscare your friends in a lethal damage custom game.

on benchhead on one of the ziplines you can drop yourself into the water, wonder what happens if he does that while dead, does he die more? gets normally respawned? who knows but it will be the first thing i'll test when i get my hands on him

Wow good idea! I didn't realize the feat removes normal respawn. That can be pretty painful. Bet Oscelotls be prowling around heal zone ALL the time because of that!

Yeah you can already tell Ocelotal players in Breach are gonna be a real pain in the ass because of his tier 1. The short distance to enemies you can spawn in combined with the fact that he still regens health, essentially whoever has an Ocelotal on their team means they control the health zone the entire damn game lol. No counter play to it at all is the worst part.

You were still right about the conquistadors tho. I am a little sad that there’s not more variation in HOW he uses his weapons, Slanderous actually had a really cool idea for them where attacking from one side would use one weapon and the other side would use the other. I’m also sorta sad that he doesn’t have more moves from his stance. Still really cool though

I play primarily for Fashion and Gear so i'm really glad you brought up Super Bright and totally contrasting colors still looking good on this Hero. I don't know why nobody is talking about it because this is the first Hero in my opinion that can wear any and all colors and look amazing still which is exactly what I wanted for an Aztec Hero.

i thought the same, one thing they could have done with his tier 4 feat instead would be similar to the feat Scout, but instead of a de-buff, the enemy gets revealed for a whole minute, but if the Ozelotl gets killed within that 1 minute, he goes into his ghost form, and therefrom can use his pounce stance to jump on an oponent, and say it does 50 dmg, if he gets that complete pounce, he gets and instant revive with full health. but if he doesnt die, or gets interrupted, the effect only revealed for 1 minute. would give his stance some more use, and we would really get the fear of the Death whiste scream.

I love how ubi got the message with the macuahuitl of how it works man!, back in the past the macuahuitle was a combat weapon designed to incapacitate and break the enemy without take the kill, that was because they preferred to use them as sacrifices, slaves etc, in the executions he only finishes the final blow always with the spear, and that's awesome

Es Rufino Romero, es un maestro tanto de la universidad de la UNAM, como un hablante del Náhuatl, tanto del idioma clasico pre colombino, como del post moderno. Es de hecho maestro del idioma. Lo conozco porque yo estudie en la UNAM. Rufino Romero ademas es un actor, lo cual es impresionante y es bueno que lo eligieran, siendo honesto, como dicen en el Warriors Den, el guerrero en si tuvo que someterse a rehacer dialogos, porque algonas palabras del Nahuatl quedaban muy largos, asi que Rufino tuvo que usar palabras que se acercaran a un termino "corto" para que pudiera haber una total caracterizacion. No para mas es el actor de doblaje para el personaje de Ocelotl. que es literalmente Jaguar en el idioma anterior mencionado.

Ohh man I can just imagine a 4/4 Full on Aztec warrior lobby all doing the death whistle emote at the same time PS. Still glad to see that BP (being the first and out of all the newly released heroes) is still the only one with a brand new mechanic. That’s Bulwark counter which practically counters 99% of all moves in the game-short of ballista, some traps, and guardbreak. Gryphon, Warmonger, Jormungandr, Kyoshin, Zhanhu, Pirate, Medjay, Nefari Afeera = No new moveset or “special” move. Most are common. Has bashes, dashes, disruptables, unblockable, undodgeables, all blocks. No really special move unlike BP’s Bulwark. Sure you can say it’s technically an All-Block. But unlock other All blocks that can parry only normal attacks, BP’s parries almost everything.

So happy they are here! My family are descended from Aztecs, we have many Aztecs on our family tree. Interesting fact: When Spain was conquering Mexico they actually removed last names from Aztecs an just deemed them “Aztec Man” or “Aztec Woman”. On my family tree when we built it there are just many of those on there for their last names.

Weird thing I'll have to try testing. The finisher bash throws the opponent back quite a bit if it kills. I wanna see if they are revivable or not if their body flies off an edge.

How does the T1 feat work when the team is breaking thought? Are you forced to execute them or is it like auto revive where if there the last to die but still have it active it still ends the game?

Definitely buying. Only complaints are the unique execution stats, feats(was expecting things like bounty hunter, arrow storm, and a unique blowgun feat that doesn’t deal much damage but does do bleed damage). Was also thinking he’d have a side dodge heavy but oh well

My question for the tier 1 is if in dominion or breach, when your team breaks is it possible to revive the Ocelotl, or is he just stuck in limbo until the games over or you rally?

I assume if he dies before you’re breaking then he goes into sprit form as usual, if he dies while breaking then he’s gone until the breaking period ends in which case he probably then respawns as normal at spawn. Basically the tier 1 likely just turns off once you’re breaking but if you die prior to breaking then you should be able to come back whenever as your respawn is owed to you already.

It's simple- if you are breaking then you cant respawn like normal. You cannot be revived by a teammate whatsoever as it's an all-in perk.

And with the delay before you "revive" into spirit form, are you just out of luck because of it? Likely, but he didn't show that test, only that you couldn't be revived by teammates

Beside the fact there are skins with Jade mask (because in the center of Mexico, jade wasn't part of the area, and was only used by the Maya, but, they used to trade with it in exchange of mud dishes), all of it is so damn good! I think is very accurate. I love to see part of my culture represented in this game! I truly never expected xd I whis For Honor add a Maya warrior, but, being honesto, the Maya were more schollars than warriors :)
