Great demo Antoine! i have the Mark 1 BUT having a 'side by side' demo patiently explained is such a great idea. Thank you for posting. I find Neunaber pedals an instrument in themselves rather than 'JUST' a pedal. It enhances ones playing so well.

I agree, I always use the term ''magical'' when talking about Neunaber reverbs. They make me feel something other reverb pedals don't, but I can't put my finger on exactly why. Thanks for watching :-)

Much prefer MK I. I hear holes in the audio spectrum in MK II in the lower mid frequencies, it sounds a little thinner/colder and separated no matter what type of verb type it's on. On MK I everything is beautifully filled out and glued together. I don't hear that glue on MK II. Maybe it's the addition of new electronic components for the pre-delay for example in MK II that have slightly changed its overall tonal signature.

I tended to feel the same and just ordered a Mark I for that reason.

I have the original Immerse. I like the new Wet, particularly the pre-delay, and the Sustain sounds great. I don't get what's so great about the 100% mix knob, though, its just exactly the same as the kill dry option. I use the Plate algorithm most, with the level high, the pre-delay at noon, and the tone and depth low. It sounds like an expensive studio reverb to me, like a Bricasti. Warm and multi-dimensional, that fills out everything without dominating. I don't think I'll upgrade. Good review

@fredmanteghian59133 жыл бұрын
When you compared the new hall to the old hall, you said the new was warmer, and I agree with the same tone settings. But did you try lowering the tone on the original to see if that made the original warmer. Maybe the new 12:00! o’clock is set to a warmer tone default. I just got an original so I will try to see if I can match your Mk2 by using the tone knob at say 9 or 10 instead of high noon.

I wonder why neunaber removed the option to tweak the modulation of the wet-algorithm. Are you happy with the modulation as it is and do you appreciate the pre-delay knob instead?
@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping6 жыл бұрын
To be honest with you, I have never thought about that up until now! If you asked me before trying the pedal, of course I would say that I would much better want a modulation knob compared to a pre-delay knob. But if I never even thought about it, it's because the modulation settings are right on point! And this is something I've always found with Neunaber: the modulation is always very musical and all settings are usable. For example, this is my main issue with the Strymon Blue Sky - the modulation mode is fixed and is not at an optimal sweet spot for me. In the case of the Immerse Mk II, it is! Hope that helps :)

salü michaud^^ MY question about the neunaber is concerned with the signal-chain-switching capabilitys of that pedal. I really want to buy it for it´s great form-factor, but there are some things that drove me crazy in the past, an so i would LOVE for you to share your insights on the following stuff! (especialli since it´s like REAL hard to find that kind of information at ALL !!) : #-can it merge stereo back to mono? #-can it do that without affecting the signal in any way (like, when ist´s swichted off, or in an always on but "kill wet" kind a way) ? #-can you get an "sort-of-expression-pedal" capability, by putting a volume pedal upfront in the chain ? #-is it a real stereo pedal, processing each signal seperately? #-i how far can you affect each signal differently in a paralell processing setup (wet/dry split upfront the chain, both signalpaths with seperate boost/cut possibility)? BTW, my pedal board is NOT all that big at all. (8 FX + Tuner + Looper...) but since i use it for guitar, bass, vocals and a digeridoo, i really run into such signal-pathy stuff a lot.......... Anyway, thank you everyone for any kind of information to this thread^^ merci!

When you did a demo of the original Immerse vs the Wet pedal you demonstrated how the original could do a 100% wet mix. You were clearly playing without any dry signal. But in this video you're saying that's only possible with the MK2. Was that a feature only in early original models?
@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping5 жыл бұрын
With the original Immerse, you could have a 100% wet mix only with the ''kill-dry'' switch. So it was less gradual... with the mix knob you could either have, let's say 80% wet at max or flip the kill-dry switch. With the Immerse Mk II, the mix knob can go anywhere between 1-100% wet with the mix knob only. I think it is more flexible and convenient then having to flip a switch each time you want a 100% wet mix and you can cover a wider range with the mix knob.
