Now that is nice!! The thing is, this feature needs to be available outside S1 too. Directly from Universal Control. I'm a sound designer for video games, and i have to mix the game while playing it. Unfortunately my presonus card won't let me create a 5.1 outside S1. Will it be possible?

Amazing 👏 Am a filmmaker and I want to start mixing films in Dolby Atmos. is studio one a Great app for that ? I was using Adobe audition, but last time I mixed 5.1 channel it was a bit slow and complicated. One more thing, do u have tutorials on mixing in Dolby Atmos?

Studio One has a playback option for video!!! I honestly need to test that further but I think the FPS syncs automatically

Can we make a macro to switch the output format between stereo and binaural? Well, it would probably have to be two but given what Studio One is I’d expect this can be a thing but I just want to check before I go looking

HUGE QUESTION: i notice you can export out multiple styles for dolby....Wav,Binaural,7.1.4 etc...but how does this work when Mastering? On the mastering side if you want those different version mastered?

I find that only a few tracks show the Atmos panner when I attempt the conversion of a stereo mix. Most do not. In fact I notice that on your demo track, as well; that some tracks still show the stereo panner. Any reason why that would be?

When creating a bus and I have an object track and right click "create bus for these tracks" the track stays as an object and is routed to a bus which is a 7.1.2 bed track. Now this only works if I create a bus like that, if I send it to an already existing bus even if it's the same bus it changes the track from an object to a bed. I'm currently trying to figure out a workflow where my existing stereo mixes and busses translate to atmos, but I end up having mostly beds. Is it possible to create busses for beds or is this a glitch?

Hi, Object channels can not be routed into Bed / Bus Channels per Dolby Atmos specification. Objects are separate. -GBY

I noticed that when Joe opens the renderer the audio i/o is on the left side. Mine doesn't have that. So how do i set up my i/o to show its in surround? All i see is L/R. Thanks!

Hi, please make sure that your Song is set to "Dolby Atmos" in the "Spatial Audio..." settings menu (found inside of the "Song" menu at the top). If you don't see that, then please make sure you're running Studio One 6.5 Professional or later. Immersive Audio / Surround is not supported in Studio One Artist. -GBY

Hi, no, you don't! :) You can monitor Atmos using your headphones with Output set to "Binaural". If you only have 1 stereo output, make sure not to tick the "additional headphone output" box. Instead, set the output in the Dolby Atmos Renderer to "Binaural" when using headphones, and "Stereo" when using speakers (as explained in my video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r57Ne5qDmNB8ebs )-GBY

I have a studio one interface freezing when I throw any plug-in from spectrasonics, keyscape, omnisphere and delete it from the insert, I deactivate the interface only the selection works, and it does not work to transfer the same duplicated audio clip by holding the mouse with vst 2 such problems were not observed

I've asked this question a few times but no joy. Perhaps you can help. If I change an existing song into Spatial mode, can I switch it back again if needed? I dont see a way to do this? Cheers.

Yes, you can - just set “Dolby Atmos” back to “Surround” from the “Spatial Audio” menu (found in the “Song” menu at the top). You can then switch your speaker configuration back to stereo. -GBY

You have the right to decide what to use, even there is still a debate about to mix on mono or stereo... my 2 cents are... if the clients needs a Dolby Mix, you have all the tools ready to do it. Belive me, after the drop of 6.5, I already made 4 full binaural dolby atmos mixes and the clients are happy! and I can charge a little bit more delivering full mixing + atmos version hehe
