Several people have commented about this so I’m gonna put it here! I forgot to mention in the video that you need to have a foundation placed somewhere (anywhere) in the CAMP or it won’t let you build a wall (for when you snap the doorway to the door)! So make sure you have a foundation placed down while you build! 😅

@@misterchurch666 Your very welcome. Credit where credit is due. The use of the Acid/Butterfly cage was really ingenious! And it still had a butterfly or 2 that would fly about, so it continued to give movement. I enjoy how blinking lights, smoke from the incense, or even the floating fish (etc) give a "life" to the camps, so those ground butterflies were fantastic to me. I will be snitching that for a build one day! ;) . I too have learned a lot from V's camps, as has my husband for sinking pre-builts into the ground! We have some really good looking builds now! And not that .. "Oh look! Giant statue I now live in!" look going on. Thanks again Sir. See ya soon-ish! ;P

I never knew the train looked so cool destroyed! The way you decorated it was perfect. I like how you kept the original train feel using the movie seating but added some small details to creating that lived in feel. The vine addition was seamless perfection. Make sure there’s a foundation built somewhere in the camp, and make sure the door is a normal one that snaps into walls :)

It was also limiting my wall options to just the powered door ones. If placing a foundation first opens up my menu options, maybe I'll be in luck! Thanks. 👍

Stairs should snap to the quarter size upper floors, upper floors should snap to foundations ceilings should snap to both, we need half walls vertical, and the sloped walls vertical, you can make two pitch roofs i used commands in fallout 4 to make a barn like this

hello, love your builds. This house looks nice in its size and coziness. I have a question: is there a method to build floor/walls with intersect with existing world objects? i mean if somewhere is fence and walls and etc, but i want to build a wall to hide this fence, but game don't let me build that way, is there a way to curcumvent this restriction? i found a nice place with preexisting structure like balcony and want build here, but this restriction dont let me cover ugly preexisting fence and walls. help pls

Building around preexisting stuff can be super challenging, because there isn't much you can do. Some blueprints can be used to get walls and such closer to premade stuff, but if you have items intersecting sometimes theres nothing you can do about it sadly

Yeah but it’s a terrible time 😂 build the tavern, place door in it, burn door, remove tavern, repair door then place doorway around it (you’ll have to eyeball it - it won’t snap)

I'm assuming the door trick doesn't work. I can get the door by itself. But then it doesn't let me place a doorway.. none of them are even clickable and it says cannot place item this piece must be snap-turn existing piece

I just do that when I’m building free cam mode so I don’t have to exit free cam/build mode and walk my character over to it and activate and go back into build mode, this will trigger it without me needing to click on it

The “fixing” of building mechanics is just frustrating at this point. I don’t honestly see the point in it either. Let us have pretty camps Bethesda. 🤡 it’s 9 out of 10 times something that has no effect on the general players and just allows builders to exist.
