How can a 494 visa holder utilize their spare time? I understand they are not allowed to work for any other employer.

Ihave a question about Anzco. On the Anzsco, it was written that certificate III including at least two years of on the job training. Does this two years of on the job training mean full time work experience for two years?
@ChannelAMEC

how many years you have experience?

@@ChannelAMEC I just have cert III but the course was just 1.5 years and almost impossible to get two years of on the job training while we can work 48h per fortnight on student visa. So I do not understand the meaning of on the job training. It needs to be full time for two years?

Do you think state allocation quotas for skilled migration will be increased compared to 23-24 financial year in next financial year 24-25?
@tazoman26
@tazoman26 2 ай бұрын
If it does increase it will be like 5 to 10% not more than that. They want to kick out most of the migrants

There's still a huge backlog of 190 and 491 visa applications. If they decide to use the places in the permanent migration program to clear the backlog first, then there will probably be no increease or a small increase.

Seems unlikely. And as it has been pointed out, if DOHA wants to clear the backlog first, then the allocation won’t be huge.

Your visa news is commendable. You " hit the nail on the head" Australian government needs to get their priorities right. They need student money, and then they want them out Doesnt make sense. General opinion is that labour jobs are all done by international students.for peanuts. When students leave, who will do this work......not the Australians of course.😢 Then there will be a huge labour shortage. 😂 Dont get it. 😂

The way I see it, Australians need to be taught a lesson, a lesson that’s hard to forget. They must know that everything they have today is NOT taken for granted, but nurtured over the past few decades or even longer. Regardless of the political affiliation, they will act differently if whatever they treasure are being taken away or destroyed. Be it property values, income, savings etc. Also NIMBY mindset must be dampened. It damages social cohesion and divides Australian community. Respecting privacy doesn’t mean turning cold shoulder to your neighbours unilaterally, even though in reality it’s far more complicated than black and white.

I agree. A rude awakening is about to happen. Australians are nice in general but the ones who have power are something else.

With all due respect I don’t understand your comment when you say Australian people need to be taught a “lesson”. What exactly do you mean by this? If your comment is coming from a place of malice then this exactly the problem as to why the indigenous Australian population hold so much angst towards “foreigners”. The people of this country never asked for this immigration, and it was never wanted. The only beneficiaries from this have been from corporations exploiting labour and individuals who have stakes in profit from mass immigration. The argument could be made that Australia was actually a better place pre 1990s and that unsustainable immigration since has not improved the country, but in fact created the problems we are facing today, and personally from my view, life in Australia is NOT better today then it was back then As of current there is a clear and growing divide in this country and it’s getting worse, and unfortunately immigration at this point in time is not aiding the situation
