My cousin has an F2B petition from 2016. He married a U.S. citizen, but his mother still has a green card. His wife canceled his petition and also got a divorce. He now has a divorce certificate. Recently, he received a letter from the NVC. If he sends the divorce certificate, will he receive a visa? His case is active with the NVC, and they have also asked for fee submission.

Hi Sir, I received an email from NVC that " your police certificates may expire before your interview. Check if they are still valid (valid for two years). If expired or expiring soon, submit new ones via CEAC (CEAC website) to avoid delays." Does this email means NVC is preparing my documents for interview visa category is F2A and documentary qualified 13Th Jan 2022 and priority date is 19th March, 2019.

@@caiobianco3230 there’s not difference between one to another. Waiting times are the same at this point. So, it depends of what you want. You want to be already inside of the US and you can maintain a legal status then do it if not you can wait in your home country.

Law of Supply and Demand applies if visa numbers or Green Card numbers remain the same unless Trump asks legislation to increase the numbers. It’s not the Admin. Remember, there are also people applying for Green Cards both employment-based (EB) or family-based regardless of preference within the US not just abroad. Green Cards are taken from a single source for employment-based and a single source for family-based. Also, there is no restriction in filing a petition. That adds up the backlog month after month, year after year.

During the summer the Visa bulletin usually sees a jump in pd and since F2B is currently at May 22, 2016, I believe the next jump might actually surpass your pd date and you will get an interview. Can you please keep me updated on how long it takes for NVC to schedule an interview after the visa bulletin goes past your date. My pd is June 2017 and I'm trying to plan accordingly. I have been waiting for a long time and I have not seen anyone with a similar Dq/pd as mine.
