my good friend has a good friend who works at the texas USCIS and he asked about my case for my wife and her reply was "90% of our resources right now have been forcefully shifted to processing all of the illegals coming in from mexico, tell your friend his application is essentially on pause until maybe around the end of the year, We can only push around 10% of what we could 2 months ago"

@john, because it is the law, unless you are married to a US Citizen, then the wait period is 3 years.
