@busi.global4 жыл бұрын
No, we didn't fill in a SAQA form. Our qualifications were verified by an organisation called WES: www.wes.org you contact the institutions you studied in and sealed academic records are sent to WES who will do the verification of your qualifications also stating what your qualifications are equivalent t in Canada. They are also recognised by the Canadian government's immigration office.

@@busi.global Thank you so much for sharing. I came across your channel and found it so helpful especially since you also went to UP :-D. I also like how you used an agency but mentioned that it isn't necessary as everything is on the Canadian immigration website. I think most of us who are in the process/contemplating it often think we need to use one just to be safe so its good to hear how not necessary it is. Anyways, after reading through all the comments to make sure this question wasn't asked elsewhere (would hate to duplicate it for you), I would like some clarity on the academic records needed. I am also using WES for my ECA and they use the words "academic record" and "academic transcript" interchangeably. I've sent a request through to UP and they've responded with a form I need to fill and that's when I noticed that these are two separate things for which there are separate fees associated, at least according to UP. I am not sure if this was the case when you did your ECA but if it was, could you please shed light on which of the two WES actually needs? I will also ask the MIE consultant that responded to my query but figured another opinion wouldn't hurt :-) Thanks a mil!

Good day Busi G I have been following your You Tube channel about moving to Canada. My name is Moipone Khame, we are based at n Pretoria Gauteng. We started the process of moving to Canada in 2018, but dropped due to other reasons. We restarted it again at the beginning of the year with the Agency called Canadian Visa Experts and they are asking for approximately 6000 US dollars. We find it to be extremely expensive. I therefore wanted to find out which Agency did you use and if this amount from our agency is making any sense?? Your urgent response will be greatly appreciated, before we loose our money unnecessarily. Kind Regards, Moipone

I just came back to this video, i am actually bingeing on this channel today. I am from Lesotho and you are the closest person to me here on YT bc of location- SA and LS .i feel like i am going to go through almost the same processes as u did for when you were moving. i just finished my bachelors, i was studying in India and i wanted to hear how i am supposed to go about the police clearance thing. or i will request for it when i am about to start the process of moving or it is something i can work on now while i am still here in India. Same thing as academic record that is sealed, do i ask for it when i am about to start the application process or i can ask for it now before going back to Lesotho? I watched what you said but it is kinda not clear. Any advice?
@busi.global Жыл бұрын
Hi Malebo, I’m happy I can help a neighbour out 😊 With the police clearance, I recommend you first find out how the process to get it in India goes, then based on that make a note on when you’d request it. You don’t need it to create your Express Entry profile but would need it after you receive your Invitation to Apply. It’s one of the last things you’d need to get BUT, don’t wait till you’ve left India to request it just in case there’s issues with getting it. The evaluation of your studies is done by an organization called WES (wes.org) and would be valid for 3 years so you could go ahead and get it done as soon as you know you will be applying since it’s valid for such a lengthy period of time 💙

I think it would be very difficult. Your best bet would be to study something (even a certificate or diploma) in Canada, get a postgraduate work permit, and then after working for a year apply for permanent residency through express entry. But, it’ll be very expensive. The certificate alone could cost R150k just to study the course, never mind the living costs.

@@Debra_lifestyle How's the process so far? I have a Canadian friend I met online who is pestering SA youth to take chances at opportunities in Canada. But the process is long and I am not motivated to do it alone. It's draining and I am lost most of the time with the whole process. My heart is still on relocating though. I want to leave SA badly.

Hey Busi. What was your CRS score? Also, how old are you? I'm going to be 32 when I apply, must estimated score will be 497. Will that win?
@busi.global3 жыл бұрын
Your estimate score looks good, I really can’t say if it will get you in or not because the scores that get in change with every pool selection based on the candidate that have submitted and what their scores are. So it will vary, it’s best to just be in there. I was between 27 & 28 when we went through the process. I don’t think knowing what my score was back then will help you in anyway at this point. Go for it with the points you have.

Do you need a degree for express entry?
@busi.global Жыл бұрын
Depends which program you you move under with the Express Entry. The Trades Skills program wouldn’t necessarily need a degree but whatever diploma or certification required for the trade skill you have experience in. The Federal Skilled Worker program I moved under generally needs a university degree. I’m not an immigration consultant though, it would be best to consult one of you can’t locate the info you’re looking for on the government’s website.

@@diksm9917 tax here is not as high as it is in SA, I’m in Ontario and every provinces tax is different (you can Google amounts for different provinces). Your tax money works for you here, you see it in the services the government provides the people. Hey what's the best way to transfer money from SA to Canada? From the bank? Or use third-party places? And for proof of funds, how did you make one? The banks like FNB they won't convert the amount in a Canadian dollar figure, so do you just get the bank statements or something and convert yourself?

Hi Busi, thanks for your lovely video. but i would like to know about the experience . I have a degree but i have experience in tutorial at the univ. of western cape fore 5 years and 6 months experience in teaching in a college in South Africa (2015). so what happened if actually i am without a job. between 2015 and 2019 i was a sales assistant. what should i do?
@busi.global4 жыл бұрын
Hi bintu tabaro you would add your university work experience as well as your sales assistant role as part of your work experience. The skilled worker process (which leads to Permanent Residency) allows you to immigrate without a job and then look for one once you’re in Canada.

Hi Busi, thank you for the video. How much money does one need to immigrate to Canada? How do you sort out accommodation. Thanks :)
@thamimadlala29804 жыл бұрын
Hi Pulane. Having gone through the process I will answer based on my experience. The recommended amount is on the Canada government website (Busi shared the link in the description). It's equally worth noting that individual lifestyles differ...meaning...If I can survive on $20 a day, it may not be sufficient for another person. People have asked about the exact amount, sadly I cannot tell how much they will need. The best is to use the recommendation on the Canada government website.
@busi.global4 жыл бұрын
Hi Pulane, I agree with Thami's comment. Using the guideline from the government is the best bet because a family of 5 won't need the same amount as a family of 2. For accommodation, we used Airbnb for the first month. I uploaded another video speaking about what to expect after you get PR including accommodation here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnPUq4N9iZWBfbs
