Along with Cannibal Corpse this is the most consistent death metal out there, they never released a shit album. There was an interviewer about 20 years ago that once said Bob’s riffs sound like he’s stabbing angels…I couldn’t agree more.

I saw these guys live in Belgium somewhere around 91,92 I guess, after the Dawn Of Possession release. We did a lot of stage diving that day. Great guys. Ross wore a nice white shirt on stage 😁

The artcover says a lot about Immolation music.They work hard on cover art as much the music inside as.And everything goes on to coming down perfectly.Some musicians have to deal with the exterior concept of their albums as the same theme being approached in music. It being as important as the musicality from the album,and never can be ignored by musicians at the point to be lesser in importance as the aesthetic conception of music or being dully made.

One thing that I've never understood about Immolation it's why they haven't used their logo in ALL their albums when they have one of the best and most iconic logos in death metal history. Aside that, always love them since their first demos until now.

Agreed! It’s funny how the turn of the century brought a whole new wave of cleaner band logos, In Flames, Enslaved, probably more I can’t think of! Glad Immolation have gone back to the original, it rocks.
