I love how they reworked some of the old DLC that was long considered to be crappy, love playing as Ghorst or Volkmar now but I wouldn't have even touched them previously.

I very rarely buy DLCs, unless they are on sale. However, for a strategy game like this, I would recommend getting all of its DLCs as soon as possible. They really add quite a lot of content to the game.

Belegar dlc also enable RoR for Dawi. You can't use them without it

Of course you can, RoR are great but not a must-have for any faction (although Lizardmen have some stipidly powerful ones)

What makes the blood DLC worse is that it just doesn't look very good on the units. I've just had Miao Ying in a battle turn into dragon form, then attack literally ONE hero and then be totally COVERED in patches of blood texture like she just sausage rolled down a hill covered in red paint. The blood splatter animations and the extra stuff like beheading is cool but the textures they slap onto the units after a fight just look very daft and OTT, and kinda break the immersion somewhat. There's a mod that drastically tones this down if you already own the blood DLC, and while it keeps the blood and all the good animations it makes the effects look more realistic, and you're only going to be drenched in the stuff if your Archaeon has gone through 200 soldiers this battle or something.

When did you finish scripting and recording this? Ogre Kingdoms can get waaaaay more camps now, and Nakai is in at least "playable" state with the update to vassal war declaration immunity (he's still not amazing, but definitely better).

Problem with Nakai is that he's just a bad lord. Couple with a lacklustre faction, and you're not getting anywhere good. I retired Nakai after I confederated him (mod), generic lords are just better and he's so bad he didn't even work as a novelty.

@@Lonestar24 like I said hes still not amazing, but he is at least playable now that your allies won't declare war on your vassal. They also removed the income cap from vassal tribute, which helps nakai's econemy more than any other faction in the game.

Over the lifetime of TWWH2 I bought all of the available DLCs, bad ones and good ones alike. I would highly suggest waiting until the big holiday Steam sales when they will be 50%-75% off. That's what I did to get them all. I still need to buy the new Chaos one for 3, but i will soon. Great video!

funnily enough the grim and the paunch is the only dlc i didn't get for twwh 2 cus i couldn't care less about high elves or greenskins but i did pick up shadow and the blade asap cus skaven and dark elves are 2 of my favorite factions i'd actually switch their position on your tier list lmao

Indeed ! I’ve played many campaigns since the start of Immortal Empire and I’ve never steamrolled the world with such violence than with Nakai. He may be a laughing stock when the AI plays him (kinda like the beastmen) but when you’re in the driver’s seat, he’s a force to recon with !

Additional DLC as of January 2024: Forge of the Chaos dwarves = must buy (unique faction and one of the strongest and most fun campaign currently) Shadow of change = for me "catch on a sale" but for most people i think "only if you want to" (3 lords with few units, but do have unique mechanics, i enjoy changeling so much becoming any named lord or hero you defeated, other lords are great too but not much change)

the new chanmpions of chaos should have one caviat, in campain the 4 mono god lords have a different tech tree and limited roster to undivived and their specific chaos god, not the full roster that archaon and kolek get, that said you would get belekor when you unlock warriors as he is a free dlc lord and he gets access to exulted demons so he has the biggest roster in campaigne. also he does not get the eye of choas mechnic instead he gets unholy manifestaion but i think that actully makes him stonger cos the shadow rifts are a very powerful mobility mechnic.

I don't think Ogres can be anything higher than Buy on Sale. It is such a half-assed effort by CA. Contracts are stupid. Big Names are inferior to the WoC system newly introduced. Meat is just a simpler version of the Skaven food mechanic. They have some of the worst traits in the game. Their roster is fairly lacking. I mean I enjoy them to an extent (mostly because Stonehorns are awesome to rampage through units), but it is fairly infuriating seeing CA charge money for such an flawed product.

I enjoy archeons campaign now, and kholak is a blast, dissapointed with sigvald, I wish they made him a proper slaanesh faction or at least altered the gifts of chaos so khorne gifts were replaced with slaanesh. in the end I agree champions is the way to go

Blood DLC is only around 3$. A dollar per game and literally nothing compared to the amount of work that needs to be done to make blood mode going for every single unit and its variation in the game.. Ppl need to shut up about it at this point.

Meanwhile, all games with violence in it have some form of blood and gore by default without the need of spending extra cash on it. And Warhammer without blood is a crime, is a heresy to make something about Warhammer without having blood by default xD This are the only devs so far that I know that they make you pay for the blood and some dismemberment animations, that's scummy, game is fucking amazing can't negate that and I think is worth it to support them so they can keep making this types of games cause they are so good, even if I think charging extra money for the blood is scummy.

@@eloverlord96 It's not about crime, simply the labour of adding gore is too much work in a game like this. All the blood usually gets hand painted and the gore pieces need to be modeled and placed onto each asset by hand manually. So its one thing to have a certain amount of characters to apply gore to like 16-30 etc vs 100s of ever expanding roster of units and their variations to add gore to. If it was a 1 button add fx, then it wouldnt be a paid dlc.
