It also zooms in and out much better with less aggressive Level Of Detail changes. Foliage would look scraggly at certain zoom levels and textures would blur as LOD is decreased. The new map is technically far more advanced in terms of the game engine.

It does look very different tho and chances are that some people preferred the more realistic look over this cleaner one, which i could understand. But yeah, feel the same as you, the new art really helps each area visually and make colour combination pop out much more. The jungle for example isn't just green, the red dirt contrasting the green help it so much and the map won't feel that monochrome anymore, which is a win in my books.

@@tsunamie1015 yeh that's true. Some people will like the old map that is less stylised. The new map also is more of an fps hog also. Personally I like it and are content to cap fps at 30 to maintain a constant frame rate.

i feel like adding them in the way they’re implemented on the ROC map might be a little much, but I would love a system like cathay caravans where commit for a few turns and then fight some battles over the end turn on ROC maps.

Without kislev the other three are even armies which never had any type of army book in WHFB ever..^^ Imho everything is possible especially when patch 2.0 is the success which CA needs for bringer further content.

@@BERKAYWOOD honestly its 2022. With the amount of hi res textures, code, ect that go into games today, im not the least bit surprised to see games breaking over the 100 gig mark. Large capacity high speed storage is dirt cheap. You can cat a 1tb samsung 980, top tier m.2 ssd for $140. Ide rather them focus on bug fixes ect over storage optimizations.

As an old dog owner with heart problem as well, my love goes out to Chloe and empathy to you! The map looks amazing, you can tell by this trailer this is their pinnacle of work, and they didn't try to hold much back in showcasing it with all the lords and units on the map, this will be CA's proudest work for a long time. I agree on the music. Personally I feel they should try implement all the tracks atleast during battle, cause the same soundtrack, even if some are race themed, do get stale after a while without anything else. The campaign map ambiance music is fine and being more chilling. Honestly just having a music player with all the tracks like in Stellaris would've been great.

I'd love rifts at North and south chaos wastes which when you leave have a 50/50 chance of going north/south. Also rifts to appear in settlements with high corruption. Through those rifts you have to go into the chaos realm to close it. If you leave without closing it, again your army would either go north or southern wastes at random

The analogy of wanting the Realms of Chaos to be like an RPG dungeon is perfect. Optional, full of monsters and loot, and potentially access to new places. But totally optional and not intrusive on the gameplay. That could be a wonderful implementation, I think! Also, yep, they have produced some really memorable themes for the trailer music. I wish they showed up more often in game! Or perhaps did new arrangements of them that are a bit more subtle, but still reference the trailer themes. They have some very recognisable motifs that should be easy to work into different arrangements while preserving their identity.

I'm sorry to hear about Chloe's heart problems, I'm very familiar with that whole routine unfortunately. The Vetmedin, lasix, probably Amlodipine, maybe an extra medicine if the lassix messes with the bladder. Our sheltie is currently going through all that, and has a cardiologist appointment tomorrow. I home Chloe takes to the medicine well and you get as much time together as you can.

We need Kingdoms of Ind, Hinterlands of Khuresh, Nippon, Tor Elithis and the Islands off of Naggorond in more detail added to Immortal Empires! I think with that much extra races added to Total War Warhammer 3, they may have to make a new regional map like Realms of Chaos. encompassing the Southern Wastes in more detail and these other Eastern Factions
