@ It’s a combo of 3 addons: LUI (with almost everything disabled), DarkUI, and Azurah which lets you unlock the screen and move base game elements around. I am going to be making a ui/keybind/addon guide vids sometime soon’ish for everyone. I can also cover it on a stream any time, only takes a few minutes.

As a DK of 10+ years, I support this build! Reminded me of my dual wield days pre Oakensoul ring. Might have to put down my Carve 2H and raid my coffers to try this one out. Worth mentioning for easier content that doesn't need as much healing, or those looking bring this to some small group content, swapping out Fragmented Shield for Eruption is a great way to add in some extra AoE damage while still maintaining the Mountain's Blessing passive! Just be aware it will not proc helping hands passive so may need to weave a heavy in once or twice which Oakensoul and eruption should make up for damage wise.

What are your thoughts on using Venomous Smite for this build instead of Syvarra's Scales?

It's a little hard to quantify the differences without testing on dummies. I do know that with Syvarras, you have 'freedom' as mobs move around, they still have the dot, however, with smite, if they move from the source (or if the source dies?) the dot does nothing. Also, Smite has a 5 seconds down times windows, vs. Syvarras 1s. So it can definitely work, but it just feels a little more limiting, especially in environments like the final boss of vet vateshran where things are moving all over the place. That is my initial, untested, thoughts.

Hi there! Syvarras dots everything it touches, Venomous only hits things around the affected target. So as things shuffle around, you lose out on damage. That you get better uptimes with Syv due to its proc condition and cool down. If you already have Venomous, I am sure you will be fine though honestly. This build is performing way over the ceiling of the content its intended for, so there's lots of wiggle room to try other things.

Ok I've got the build going now and it's awesome so far, but my tool tip says i do 828 Lamia poison damge with Syvarra on the initial hit, then 8280 in 5 meter radius. But yours says 1148 , and 11484 in 5 meter radius.. what did i do wrong? Lol maybe its the food in using, im using blue food

Hey awesome, I am glad you like it! You definitely have something missing/different somewhere. I have some info for you to help track it down. Check out # 2b here: www.thegameroom.tv/build-faq Also, Syvvaras seems to be extremely sensitive in its scaling from weapon damage, so there is probably something somewhere pulling that down. Jewelry enchants, helm, nirnhoned trait on the mainhand, etc.

@ Oh noooo, that is a big difference haha. I'm so sorry. The way the video shows it, is how that enchant is shown for that addon (both physical harm and magical harm show as "multi-effect" since the enchant does multiple things (damage + sustain)). For sure change all 3 to phys. harm and you should see a decent jump in your syvarras tool tip.

What are your thoughts on switching the Ult to Ferocious Leap? It has the damage shield, lower cost, and I like having a gap closer.

If you don't need the damage mitigation from magma in what you are doing, 100% go for it. If you are having fun that's what matters. I do the same at times haha. It's a fraction of the damage of Standard, but leap is more fun and if you are already knocking things down in solo content, who cares. 💪

The only real flex spot here is Frag Shield, you can swap it out for Chains of Devastation if you dont have any survivability issues. It will also give you a great damage boost and a sprint: eso-hub.com/en/skills/dragonknight/ardent-flame/chains-of-devastation

@@Dooma In the end I replaced Frag Shield with Talons, because slotting draconic ability gives 12% more healing from passive, but talons give CC, dmg and minor maim. Also replaced Burning Ambers with chain pull and Syvarra armor with Rush of Agony for aoe pull, because I really love pulls. So far working pretty great!

Thank you! I think it will be as good as any non-IA specific solo build, being able to get to around Arc 4 or so then start to fall off. You could probably make some changes to make it a little more "IA Meta" and get a little further, but it's definitely going to have its limitations there as the content starts to scale.

Have you checked traders? I know other servers wont be exactly the same, but I just checked PCNA and there tons of medium pieces for sale. I would pick them up in off traits for cheap if gold is an issue and you will probably be totally fine.

Would not having oaken greatly decrease the damage output? I have majority of the build, minus oaken ring and two piece monster set instead. i never liked the DK when i first played the class, its my main now. that slow burn down style actually works for me in content, in IA its slap the dots on and live while you watch everything melt, can focus on mechanics and living at later arcs, Sycarra's and Venomous were on my DK for a long time, always got told its "dated" and "pointless", that pop from Sycarra's and the linger from venom on the boss or higher hp mob can do allot of damage as it drags venomous around with it, see you falling back in love with hexos, looking forward to seeing the other ideas you have for it,

Is the dps from FOO worth the limited slot since oakensoul already brings major prophecy and savagery and they don’t stack (at least that’s what I’ve read elsewhere)? How ill-advised would it be to use something like deep breath or a scribing skill there instead? Is the cost to dps ratio the driver?

Because Oaken cover so many buffs, it's not uncommon to have an overlap in the buffs, if the skill is strong enough. In this case, FOO is the #2 source of damage in most scenarios, so I don't recommend changing it.

You definitely can, you just need to work back in a few buffs from oakensoul that are necessary and you are set. Ill be circling back to this build here in a bit after a bunch of play testing on the most recent build.

@@oniidante No worries I gotchya. That's tough in today's game (for me). There's been over 10 years of new dlcs, and patches, and new systems, and all sorts of things. It's difficult to dial all that back to the base game and put out something that keeps up with all strong stuff that's out there now. I do have base game set ups in general on my list to get to at some point to put together some options for those players like yourself. There definitely is some solid stuff out there for the base game, there's just been so many additions now its all kind of lost in the sauce now you know?

For sure! In todays game, you dont really 'need' M.Breach on a 'proper' set up, but it can help if dps is very low. if its not, you probably wont even feel the loss in solo content.

I am not sure, we are about to find out on todays stream. However, I recommend testing any build on the trial dummy, even if it is not for trials. Reason being, it is the most 'standardized' test we have as players. You can roughly tell where a build would be, in non-trial content based on the dps, but, anything below the trial dummy, you are introducing a million variables. The trial dummy, is the standard.

Hi there! For someone who has nothing, it's typically much easier to farm. A dungeon run or two (or just 1 with a group passing gear) and you will have your helm. Versus, farming undaunted keys then playing the coffer lottery to get the correct piece and weight and what not.

@@Doomai run/ran a very similar build with snipe instead of daggers. To run it PvP i really like to swap in an actual heal and my fav slept on set with syvarria…Coldharbour fav. DK is the easiest class to control the proc IMO. Lots of pressure and basically on demand big heals or AOE damage to go with all the other pressure. 1 bar is tough for DK PvP though, the kit has too much you need to sacrifice in order to 1 bar. For BG’s though you can pull it off. I haven’t tried the build in 8v8 and with how funky snipe can be I’d have to tweak it and see. I run Vat bow…so it’s still in your face brawler, but with snipe hitting like a truck and flame and poison just exploding all over.
