Why it feels like MCU Thor so much🤣. Also, since Toranos is Udgard-Thor, Gaea is Jord, Buri - Utgard-Odin and Udgard Loki, well Udgrad Loki. Does that mean Nyx is Utgard-Nott and Atum Utgard-Sol?

4:40 - How can the Keep still exist if Donald is alive & imprisoned in Asgard?
@ThorTalk7 ай бұрын
The Keep is separate from Donald, he’s just made from his body. Donald Blake became separate from Thor after Thor’s death in Fear Itself. Amora then decapitated Blake and used his body to make the Keep. Donald Blake’s decapitated head was still alive and was put in a dream state by creatures called “Mares”. This was all in Matt Fraction’s run. Later in Donny Cates’ run, Donald Blake would go mad within a dream world created by Odin that he goes to when he’s not Thor. This Blake emerged and later was imprisoned after a reign of terror. It’s not clear how Blake got in Odin’s dream world since he was in the Mare’s dreamworld. It may be a contradiction or he just was pulled back there later on.

It was intentional. The quips are popping up in his head involuntarily. In the book, they have quotation marks around them so the reader knows this. I wanted to make them sound unnatural and like they slipped out so fast that Thor couldn’t stop himself in the middle of saying it. Don’t know if the effect turned out great or not, but that’s what I was going for

He was. It’s complicated. Blake became separate from Thor after Thor’s death in Fear Itself. This Blake emerged and later was venomized. However this Blake doesn’t meld great with the story of Blake in Fraction’s run since the dream world is created by Odin not the Mares. It’s not clear how Blake got in Odin’s dream world since he was in the Mare’s dreamworld. It may be a contradiction or he just was pulled back there later on. Again complicated, but both stories happened

I have been wondering how strong Thor would be underwater. Apparently he can breathe underwater in some instances, and in others must hold his breath. My main point though is in his lightning. Surely anything wet or submerged in water would enhance conductivity, no? I saw him in one comic perform a thunderstorm underwater, in what the described as a deep sea supercell.
@tomasmisek55983 ай бұрын
The issue there is that he is the god of thunder - a phenomenon tied to the sky, and the son of the earth, so the sea is probably where he is weakest

@@mutalemwananshiku4098 I personally don’t think infinity war Thor was a parody.I still think that was the best Thor in the MCU. I know Ragnarok went a little bit comical, but still had its serious moments. Infinity war was peak Thor and the last time I saw that Thor he beheaded Thanos and walked away I don’t know who that fat Thor was or that Thor in love and thunder, but it wasn’t the Thor I . I was just curious to see if anyone resented infinity war Thor, I know a lot of non comic fan prefer infinity War over post infinity war.

If it was a knock against MCU Thor (as it should, since Taika been mocking comic-book Thor without any consequences), Ewing def had to hide it, which is why some MCU fans get defensive saying ''it doesn't look or sound like MCU Thor''. You can't bite the hand that feeds. Marvel was fine mocking Fox's 2015s FF movie in one of the Punisher comics, but won't let you openly mock MCU, since it's the opposite: Marvel Comics are forced by Disney to include MCU stuff into the comics because that's the priority for Disney. If Marvel Comics was a seperate entity from Disney, they'd be doing that since the MCU became insuffurable with needles comic changes for the worse and their ''banter''.

@@antona.1327 mcu thor may be jokey but he isnt a corporare sellout like roxxon thor is and he doesnt even look like roxxon thor. If comic book thor met waititi thor he could cringe at him being dumb but they wouldnt fight. "Ewing def had to hide it"- if he had hide o think they would scrapped roxxon thor. Marvel movies have jokes that are cringe but they arent onbnoxious as some people accuse it of being. Mcu has also poked fun of itself with she-hulk so ewing isnt being very brave if he things he hurt marvel studios.
@antona.13274 ай бұрын
@@mutalemwananshiku4098 did you read what I just said, the person with Burzum's number 1 fan on his pfp? It can't be open mockery because the comic has to pass editors who won't allow MCU slander. But even with that in mind, this comic totally illustrates the problem with MCU and its Thor. They sacrificed character's nobility and intellegence for cheap laughs because they thought it would sell better. And MCU Thor is def a sellout, because he doesn't do duties because it's his responsibility, but because he can gain something from that (like being congratulated for his work instead of Starlord). Next, the MCU is now cringe and beyond, and especially its Thor. Ewing went easy on them here, I'd say. After all, in Thor Dumb and Thunder we have a joke that's supposed to be for real where Thor says Asgardians used to feast on children (who allowed this to even be written on the page, let alone filmed and put in the movie??).

@@antona.1327 i dont recall mcu thor looking like roxxon thor or only appealing to a corporation, waititis thor didnt even get to have his hammer till the end of love and thunder. You know the mcu didnt imvent banter,that existed in cheesy 80s and 90s action movies. As much as you can dislike making mcu thor funny , the character is still a hero that cares abiut helping people in need. Love and thunder made a big deal about the character being looked up to by children and his sharing his power with them,something ewing does except its with jane foster , loki, beta ray bill. The end of love and thunder had him as a dad something roxxon thor wouldnt. Be honest u probably thought mcu was cringe before based off your pfp.
