I have a question about the skald stuff. At first we saw Loki in Agent of Asgard #16 using the narration text box but now we learn that Bragi has the same powers and they can communicate . Does that mean that Bragi has listened to the entire Immortal thor run until now ? Plus is Loki narrating the story as he goes or from the far future. I'm a bit confused about how that works . Lastly is Ullr another skald or does he just light the fire ?

Very Good video! I have one question about Angela, since you know a lot about Thor lore in marvel comics. How she was raised by Angels in Heaven? I know thatChristian heaven exists in Marvel comics along with Christian Angels. So there is second realm also called Heaven, with diffrent Angels? Or she was growing up in Christian heaven? Im just confuzed
@M1schi3f6 ай бұрын
Basically very long ago (like when Thor was an infant) Odin got into a war with the Angels of heaven a Tenth realm (not the christian one ) and a consequence of that war was that the angels "killed" Angela who was unknowingly saved by one of them and raised by her.Odin Believing that his daughter was killed Cut the Tenth realm from the world tree meaning that the angels couldn't communicate with the other realms . Back to the present (like around 2014 ) angela had grown up and was Heaven's best hunter (and had managed to fly without wings which made her hated by her People) She got into a fight with Thor and Loki (after Thor had a vision and discovered the "Tenth realm") where at the end of said fight Odin came back recognised his daughter (Btw her name is Aldrf) and told thor to stand down . That's basically it. I would advise you read original sin 5.1-5.5
@ThorTalk6 ай бұрын
She’s technically both. It’s complicated. So Angela actually isn’t a Marvel character. She was created by Neil Gaiman in the comic book series “Spawn” which is by Image Comics. Angela in Spawn was an Angel from the Christian heaven. However Gaiman got the rights to Angela back and sold them to Marvel in 2013 so now Marvel owns the Angela character. They made some changes to her in order to better incorporate her into the Marvel Universe. Instead of being an Angel from the Christian heaven, she’s an Asgardian (Thor’s sister) who was kidnapped and raised by angels from the tenth realm: Heven (yes it’s spelled differently). When the Angels, kidnapped Odin’s daughter, he forcibly separated Heven from the other realms as punishment which is how they explained why it wasn’t seen before. Heven is not the same as the Christian Heven and neither are the Angels. Heven is not an afterlife, but a Norse realm like Asgard, but instead of gods, it’s run by winged women who love money called Angels

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t some of Odin’s children here presented as being the god of the wrong thing? Like isn’t Ullr the god of winter and hunting in actual norse mythology, and Baldr not being mentioned as the god good things?

Hello TT, is it possible to know the correct order of Thor's brothers? Who is Odin's firstborn? who was the last one?
@ITSREIGNING6 ай бұрын
Angela is described as the firstborn and obviously Laussa is the youngest. I think Tyr is Odin's firstborn son.
@ThorTalk6 ай бұрын
As @ITSREIGNING said, Angela is Odin’s first born and Laussa is his last born. Tyr is also called his firstborn son according to the guide book Thor: The Legend from 1996. Other than that, we don’t know much and honestly even Angela and Tyr being the two oldest contradicts other information. Balder is implied to have been born before Odin married Frigga/Freyja, but Angela was born after they were married. Still officially Angela is the oldest and Laussa is the youngest no matter what contradictions there may be
@abraxis206 ай бұрын
It's complicated as there's been many Ragnorok cycles. Perhaps some were born in different cycles.
@ThorTalk6 ай бұрын
That’s really the only explanation that can work sometimes. Angela is the most likely candidate to be from another cycle since previous cycles had nine realms meaning Heven is already missing. That or Heven came into existence later and was removed during the current cycle. Honestly these problems come up when some writers forget that the Ragnarok cycle is a thing and don’t incorporate it

I don't mind these distraction from the main story too much. The minotaur one was in direct response to Gaia's instructions, so that checks. Then this one, I do agree a little line would tie things a bit better, but on one hand we have the in betweener, some sort of god even to the gods, and the elder/utgard gods on the other, some type of gods even to the gods. I smell a connection comming either way.

It’s kind of interesting that the Roxxon storyline started out connected to the main story and then ended up being something completely different, but this storyline started out completely unconnected and will probably end up being very connected
@gm24075 ай бұрын
@@ThorTalkYeah that Roxxon story seemed so disjointed to the Utgard stuff and now it just has the Thor murder plotline just hanging over him unresolved. I prefer the Utgard stuff though.

So Odin had 11 children?
@ThorTalk6 ай бұрын
11 who were known and around at the time of the meeting. He could have had some who died. The myths mention a handful of human children of Odin who would be dead now if they exist in Marvel and some godly children may have died in battle. Knowing Odin he also probably has a few more secret kids

Al Ewing could be the most celebrated and iconic writer of modern marvel comics. But, I feel that his wanting to get along and fit along nature, allowing for the editorial teams to essentially destroy his cohesion of work, literally destroys anything he’s really trying to do It’s like he has his both hands tied behind his back It seems he’s never given space to really explore his concepts. His immortal Hulk at least needed 25 additional issues if not 50 to completely tell that tale. Now the immortal Thor is suffering, even greater weirdness than that iconic series. They are great elements to the story. But, his way of handling how the overarching story connects is very disjointed. This issue like the others before speaks to that. Now, we lose the original artist who makes the series Very, very disappointing and very frustrating

Yeah, my espectations for this run was so high but is not that good honestly, still hope the series recover some direction and quality post issue 12.
