What if the door to the shroudfane is locked? Like the blue aura light blockage thing in doorways? Is that a i have to progress further in the game?

Yeah that's what's there but you'll pretty much need to keep playing the story cuz you'll get a spell to break those blue wards

The Golden Chest Near in the room with the two pressure plates, I locked myself out of that room escaping from the "magic eater". How do I get back to that room? I'm guessing I have to wait until later and go back using the portal near the region entrance and make my way all the way back?

At a certain point in the game you lose access to certain locations forever (capital city) Either you do it before or in a new game +

it should and it doesn't Matter If you have the whole Story you can get Chest at the end
