MillionFoul Point of clarification, in the description, it says it's an Engineer Field Meet; my Devil Dogs in the video are from the 9th Engineer Support Battalion. They're not grunts. A grunt is a term for a member of the infantry, which one becomes by going to, and graduating from, the School of Infantry after boot. The rest of us go to MCT and then to our tech schools, be it engineering, communications, artillery, or motor-t, among countless others.

The Airforce is a lot tougher than you think. My Dad was in the Airforce and he retired as a Master Sergeant and led U.S. Special Forces into combat, and was the one that dressed up like the enemy to get behind enemy lines while U.S. Special Forces charged in to get there target.

They are usually picked at random or they asked whoever wanted to participate. When we trained, every Marine had to participate and it didn’t matter who we were up against, size or weight didn’t matter, you’d still had to fight. Marines are aggressive towards one another and would do to each other what they’ve done to the airmen seen in this video.

I just want to point out that Marines do pugal sticks quite often. It is training for rifle and bayonet combat. This seems more like a slam fest than an actual tactical event.

This is how the Marines are trained, slam into your opponent or enemy line. Knock them to the ground, kill them and move on to your next objective. Quick way to win the battle field.

When we do bayonet training, it is more focused on strikes. Buttstrokes and bayonet stabs. Pugal sticks is more of a slam competition. If you just go to slam into an enemy with a bayonet, you will get stabbed. They are not holding those sticks as you would with a rifle.

Marines are the toughest of the 5 branchs because they have to be always in shape for deployment, besides that , in air force, the average airman are nothing compare to a marine because most airman are not forced to do PT after Basic Training. But it would be a diferent story if these marines would do a versus with a pair of AF Special Forces or SEARS

While to some of you, it may be ridiculous that they have two marines pitted up against one airman, who is clearly at a disadvantage because of the size comparison alone. They kept him in there for more than just entertainment. Things like this are to show that in a fight, shits not gonna be fair. You'll be at a complete disadvantage a LOT.
