@Tools & Stuff. Thank you for a great explanation of the three different impact drill or drivers with visual aids. I also want to personally thank your old faithful Hitachi hammer drill driver for donating itself in the making of this video for educational purposes. Without it, the video just wouldn't have been the same. Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

Great explanation, I was just contemplating if my M12 stubby 1/2" impact wrench with a 1/4" bit adapter was equal to my Makita 18v impact driver when driving large fasteners.
@januszR2 жыл бұрын
normally impact drivers have less torque but more hits per minute. So a Makita (Milwaukee, whatever) impact driver should be faster with screws than any impact wrench (even though it has less _whack_ )!

Thought you are going to cut your rotary hammer drill into two sections for the class..lol A clearer picture of how those drills work with their own special functions. Good explanations and thank you.

The bounce of the spinning impact driver's hammer does provide an equal and opposite force to the tool/bit that can serve to make the bit>screw interface more solid and prevent cam out of Phillips head screws.

Impact driver is actually giving axial force also when the metal chunk is driven to the front by the spring so its lugs can hit again.
@cameratool4 жыл бұрын
@@puskamestari5058 That force would tend to dislodge bit from fastener but should have a longer duration.
@puskamestari50584 жыл бұрын
@@cameratool Actually the force is towards the fastener so it is keeping the bit better in the fastener
@cameratool4 жыл бұрын
@@puskamestari5058 That would be contrary to Newton’s third law of motion.

Great video. My research before using an impact driver vs impact wrench suggest and impact wrench was only rotational but an impact driver uses rotational and axial. Seems like according to the video this is not the case
@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
Yeah there is so much misinformation about impact drivers and impact wrenches. If you can find any major power tool company saying that impact drivers use axial force as well as rotational, I will remove this video. Many impact driver and wrenches from companies are exactly the same tool, just with a 1/4" chuck (driver) or 1/2" square drive (wrench). There is no difference in the way they work. Thanks for watching.

The button may have worn out. Try opening it up and pushing the tactile switch. It may also be slightly bent and not contacting.
