I think Will Harris reputation could really get boosted if he can get Cormani to buy in and develop himself to be a 2nd or 3rd round NFL draft pick. Low pressure, low expectations coupled with good DB room and culture means if Cormani develops it's a win for everybody. Develop Cormani, win 7 games and Billy is on solid ground for 2025 with DJ Lagway starting!

He’s lucky as far as being able to go to a school and program like Florida. Other players from CU that are consider more experienced and appeared to have a higher upside haven’t gone to this caliber of a school. Florida hasn’t been that good in the last 3 or 4 years but the respect that comes to the Gator name in college football history far surpasses a Colorado program and many others. Walk on or not he’s lucky to even get that opportunity. To also note and to have to report that he’s committed as a preferred walk-on screams a lot. He and his family can try and front like his behaviors weren’t the problem but having to commit as a walk on debunks all the back lash they tried to throw at Coach Prime. We know this media outlet and others won’t retract what they said negatively about Coach Prime after this type of commitment.

J.D. is spot on with this take. This is literally a definition of a low risk, high reward situation. This isn't a 5-star recruit flipping his commitment before signing his NLI before leaving high school. This is player that is looking to redeem himself after failing miserably at his previous school and being roasted publicly by his head coach. Regardless of what Power 5 school signed him, no program viewed him as an automatic week 1 star for their defense. He lost most of the cache that comes with being a blue chip athlete last season at Colorado. If this was a Florida program being ran by Dan Mullen still, I'd be a bit concerned by this move, as Mullen and his staff rarely did thorough evaluations on players (both on and off the field). Despite Napier's mediocre record his first two seasons in Gainesville, there's no question he's changed the Florida locker room for the better from a cultural perspective. Of course he's got to prove himself in year 3, but he's rebuilt Florida’s roster to where it should at least be in contention in almost every game in 2024. With Cormani coming to UF as a PWO, it means Napier won't be desperate to play him right away. There's a healthy mix of veterans from the portal and blue chip under classmen to carry the load in the secondary. If Cormani puts in the effort and eventually earns his way to a starting position, Napier and Will Harris will look like geniuses. If he continues to struggle similar to his time at Colorado, he won't be here in 2025 and he won't be sorely missed.

Coach Prime recruited a 5-star high school athlete to join CU, aiming to enhance the player's chances of becoming an NFL professional. However, the student failed to attend classes and struggled with various responsibilities as a CU football player. Ultimately, the player left CU, believing he was treated unfairly. Imagine if CU had offered this player an NIL deal worth $200,000. First, Coach Prime would have needed to support this NIL investment. Second, the NIL collective would have expected a return on their investment. The projected outcome? Coach Prime's reputation would have suffered, and the NIL collective would have incurred financial losses. And people wonder why Coach Prime is hesitant to invest in 4- and 5-star high school divas!

I hope Florida is not wasting a scholarship on this guy. He doesn't work hard. I don't think coach Prime would lie about this. Maybe he grows up but he would have to earn a scholarship.

@@zachrs43 I agree, which is why I did. Florida was 5-7 last year. There is nothing in place for Cormani McClain. Absolutely nothing! He is not a worker. He adds no value and is a waste of scholarship.

1st, no P5 is interested, but there were several suiters according to ESPN. Now it's he's a preferred walkon, that too is a WRONG. Now Florida is suppose to be the pillar of morality. This the same school that produced Aaron "Chico" Hernandez.

How many years removed has that player been? If you got to dig that far back in the past sounds like Florida's pretty squeaky clean ya goon
