To truly get rid of this element, we need people who are serious about making Durban work/safe to move back into these flats. Like when I first moved into DBN CBD in 2020 I remember how I fought a landlord for packing the flat I lived in with a people from Mozambique that were clearly illegal and a gentlemen & women who was basically addicted to crack. My efforts were in vain for 18 months as most of my stuff was stolen and they forced me to move out. My grandpa built Durban so to me to see it in this state hurts and angingedwa, the ANC government gave funds for infrastructure redevelopment of all DBN properties to indian gentlemen and they built Hommi and Citylyf why haven't they been investigated or is this another one of those things we supposed to be silent about like Durban Transport

What's wrong with South Africans? Failing to uphold the law and maintain order. This is not an immigrant problem but a law enforcement problem (corruption).

Every street in Durban has a tavern.and where there is a tavern there is crime . My guess is most taverns are owned by councillors and managed by their families

@sbonelothusi665 сағат бұрын
They were fronting; it's not feasible to just wake up and do what they did. You need to develop a practical plan and involve all law enforcement agencies to address this lawlessness once and for all. Additionally, those living under the bridge, especially South Africans, should be taken to rehabilitation centers to get the help they need. This way, when they come out, they are in a better state. Of course, priority should be given to those who are not involved in criminal activities.

It seems like maybe we need to revisit the powers of the courts because our laws are too loose and complicit in the gangsterism we face, we need harsher penalties for crime
@DragonReaper19984 сағат бұрын
So the justice system is the problem. At least are the police are trying these days. But it seems like once the criminals are out of their hands, the justice system just frees them and this cycle of criminality continues.
