Same here. It seems that all of my life people have told me, "You worry too much" or "It's their problem" or even "Your're too sensitive". I can assure people new to this topic that we feel other people's anguish acutely and have to work hard to navigate it with care. Anita' new book will be very welcome and timely. A much needed voice for our community.

Three of my favorite people together! My husband, a surgeon, is currently in hospital (again) with a resurgence of bone-marrow cancer. I have read Anita’s book twice and lent it to a number of people because I know/feel its truth. At the same time I realize one cannot “do” this for any other individual - each person comes (or doesn’t come) to living this knowing in their own way in their own time. But I feel it is incredibly important that the truth of her experience with it is out there as a light in the dark sea of illness/cancer to whom anyone can turn when they’re ready. Thanks for a great talk - and that goes to Danny too!

Our cultural practice of conditioning sensitivity out of males has gotten us where we are today. Not good for males, not good for females, not good for the Earth. What a different world we would live in if we cultivated sensitivity. Imagine that! This podcast was published on my birthday. What a wonderful birthday gift for me! I CANNOT WAIT for her new book!! I'm very sensitive and very strong. Claiming that!! Thank you for yet another phenomenal conversation, Lee!

The problem with 'loving yourself' is that we confuse ourselves to be our thoughts and feelings. We confuse ourselves to be the images we have of ourselves. We also confuse the 'other' to be the images we have about the 'other'. There is some confusion about 'loving yourself'. What is it that I am loving? In my understanding, 'loving myself' goes hand in hand with dropping my images about myself and about others. Once the images and stories are dropped, that which remains is love, is myself. I hope this makes some sense.
@schoolofspiritualalchemy4 жыл бұрын
I agree, loving yourself is a difficult one to understand. For me, it works best if I try and see myself through the eyes of God/Source/creator energy, by just opening myself up to receive pure life force. If you can take the time to see yourself from this perspective, or just open to receive during meditation, then I believe self love can be attainable, much blessings to you and I hope you don't mind me replying, Lisa-Jane

Such a message of hope and love. Anita Moorjani is a goddess. Appreciate her sharing of her experiences and confirmation about being an empath and a sensitive. It is a daily struggle as the world is currently fear-based, as Anita notes. Phenomenal story of changing a mindset about cancer & subsequent healing. Heard about Anita via John Scott, the Australian artist. Love this! Thank you.

Thank you so very much, Lee Harris, for this interview and discussion. Anita, thank you immensely for all that you share. I can't tell you how important it is to me. Truly, thank you. As well, Lee, thank you so much for interviewing Danny. As I've listened for years, really, to Anita and currently picked up her book (again!) at the library, I've thought how important Danny's story is AND more importantly, how important it is for HIM so share his story. I've thought about this specifically -- 'It's really important for Danny to know how important his stories are in many areas. To know that just being him, is important. I think Danny has some surprising information inside of him that could be shared, as well. Anita and Danny you are both wonderful.

It gave me goosebumps when she spoke of how callously a doctor questioned her about her remission. ( that just 3 years of being cancer free doesn't give you even a right to talk about it). What kind of doctors and healthcare people has our system produced?

I was called special, weird, crazy, etc name it...But in the same time envied for being psychic, ...but empath and HSP that is another thing. Lol! It is all the same "Heightened Intuition" and it is not easy to live being so gifted in this society, But now at 58y old, I wouldn't want to be anyone else! I am blessed to feel, to know and to see clearly, and won't let anybody create confusion about who I truly am! Yes Anita! Let not the world tell us otherwise! Sat Nam!

Great to see Anita and Danny together. Even in spiritual sanghas and circles empaths and sensitives are not recognized as strong but seen as weak nervous people. For empaths and sensitives ego is needed for assertiveness and expression for the benefit of all beings.

I am going to try this again, I did place a comment when I came across this interview. This so good for me because hearing Anita I realize I am not as crazy as I thought I was. Let me explain. Back in the 1990's I had an incurable cancer and refused all treatment, to make this short I'll skip after my incredible healing, yes I was in utter confusion, not sure what's happening and then elated and started to tell friends and people in the small town in the area we lived in. And in time my elation turned into depression. The look on people's faces and the things my friends were saying took be aback that they weren't believing me or saying that's impossible, there was a mistake. Even when I told my friends , that I asked the doctors about mistakes and maybe the lab reports were not right and all the doctors said definitely no mistakes, 5 different lab reports all positive and we have dealt with this cancer before. They kept saying that they do not know how I went into a remission and the cancer will return. As you can see it seems Anita went through the same. The words and statements she use were so much like my own. Anyway, the cancer has not returned. Now 20+years later I am starting to open up about my cancer healing experience. Anita has given me courage.

I have always looked up to my older brother as he is a very smart guy. When I was younger and I cried over our pets when they died or got hit by a car etc, he use to yell at me "you need to stop that, one day that is going to get you in a lot of trouble". So I went through my life thinking something was wrong with me. None of my friends were as sensitive as myself either. In first or 2nd grade a teacher showed a movie where a baby duck got lost from it's mother and siblings. Construction workers were in the area cutting down tress, well in the end the baby duck never got back with his mother and it showed a huge roller from the construction workers run it over and it showed the baby duck smashed. I totally lost it and ran out of the class screaming and crying. My mom had to come pick me up from school. So when I found the internet and other people like myself, I was so relieved and everything she writes about being sensitive is very true and I can't wait for her new book. Thank you Anita.

I first heard about Anita through watching Dr. Wayne Dyer and I bought her book as soon as it came out. I shared the book with the daughter of the Dr. who was going to perform my cataract surgery because I found out that the Dr. was dying of cancer. I think it helped the daughter and her mother to deal with it. I have to say that I chuckled when Anita said how Dr. Dyer had helped her when she was scared of speaking on stage. That was so him.
