Funnily enough, there are real railguns that you can buy off the shelf, right now. They shoot small metal discs at low velocity. A military grade railgun typically destroys itself after a handful of shots due to the immense recoil.

that thing is awesome! though if you ever do decide to make a version 2.0 there exists a 1:1 scale prop of the needler which dwarfs the nerf one meaning you'll have alot more room to integrate a nailgun properly

That nerf gun is amazing. I own it and it really does feel like a real life needler. It's pretty much perfect. As cool as this video was, nerf did like 80% of the work for them. All they did was cut it open and add a nail gun. If you love halo, I'd recommend this gun 1000%. As a side note, I wonder how much money they would have made if nerf made the guns for the show and then tried to sell them as toys afterwards. They probably would have been flying off the shelves

@ImpactProps You could get the setup much more mobile with compressed air tanks for a paintball gun and a back sling system so the airtank sits on your back. Fill up a couple canisters and call it a day. 1 3000PSI tank will get me through 300-350 rounds at 350FPS on my paintball gun.
