I disagree when people said that this should be a chase scene. The point of this scene with the music was to create the sense of fear and unsafe of not knowing if Michael chasing her or not. She just run without knowing Michael chasing her or not and i think that’s brilliant and the build up was great. I totally felt that sense just by the horror he delivered, i was on the edge and i like that. I need more of that

To me, the music is Allyson’s true introduction into a world where the Boogeyman is actually real. He doesn’t really have to be near her at all; through this killing, he’s already dismantled what Allyson thought were concrete boundaries of possibility. Now everything is within the purview of this danger. I think the music represents that well.

The reason this scene was so amazing was the fact that it directly harkoned back to the old Halloween, when Laurie walks into the house completely unaware there is a killer, and then she starts finding her friends corpses. It's called "discovery fear" and it's EXTREMELY effective in horror films.

I love right when Michael killed that kid the lights turned off and that makes Michael a boogeyman who moves in the shadows like he's not alive or human which he actually is and his mask symbolizes evil which all those patients and dogs in the beginning sensed it and knows it's not just a mask Michael made that mask into something that no one will ever forget in 1978 and considers it his real face cause that is who he accepts and wants to be, Michael will always be my favorite horror slasher

My 3 favorite things are fantasy, syfy and horror. Michael Myers mask is a captain Kirk mask from the star trek series. What they did was paint the mask white and cut open the eyes more. And wala! Halloween is my all time favourite movie and seeing the mask reminds me of star trek. Maybe that's why I can have the stomach for gruesome Halloween flicks. It's funny cause the Halloween 1 movie was in 1978 and that's the year I was born. I guess you see my point on why I love Halloween and star trek so much. I also love Harry Potter and fantastic beasts even though it has nothing to do with your video. I felt I had to express that to you. Thanks for giving me this video. I loved it.
