Impeachment: American Crime Story examines the national crisis that led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century through the eyes of the women at the center of the events: Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp and Paula Jones. All three were thrust into the public spotlight during a time of corrosive partisan rancor, shifting sexual politics and a changing media landscape.

You must mean George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Harding, Eisenhower, Kennedy, or Lyndon Johnson. Then of course, there are all those paid prostitutes on the government payroll. Oh, let's not forget all those people who get paid to overthrow democracy, I guess they could be considered whores too.

It was all in her eyes when she said that line. You could see how hungry she was for any vital information. It is my understanding that Linda Tripp was transferred out of the White House because she was a gossip monger. After she was transferred, she waned vengeance! Sara Paulson knows how to deliver a subtle performance with big impact.

Speaking with experience as someone who has interned (Not with the White House), When somebody is asking probing questions that you find yourself not feeling fully comfortable answering, that is when you know they are not your friend. No matter how much you seem to have in common, no matter how much you seem to enjoy their company, they are not your friends. Friends respect boundaries and do not push them.

@@straightbarns so true. When I started working a girl that was 6 years older as 28 told me " never become friends w/ anyone at work . It always goes bad & when it does its excruciating to keep working with them. Essentially the phrase " dont s$it where u eat" I took this advice for awhile but I'm a therapist for autistic kids so I'd constantly be put on teams & u it seems being friendly gets u more jobs bc ur " networking " so u start finding urself on the same jobs with the same people after awhile & somewhere the line gets crossed between co worker & friend. When I tried to pull back from certain female friends they got very angry & insulted. Like this one woman who was 40 would call me every night 3 or 4 times & I got tired of the phone calls where all she wanted was to bad mouth everyone. We got off the last 2 weeks of summer & I politely told her I just wanted a break from work talk for a couple weeks. This witch started sandbagging me at work it was awful. A lot of lonely women with issues I found became therapists to disabled kids. I just could not stand how they bashed the kids & the parents judging them. I actually was there to help the kids but many of the women & young women hated their jobs & the families we worked for. It was so toxic that I had to just start working on my own privately. I also made sure to keep the lines very drawn about buisness & only buisness & that helped a lot & I actually survived working with one family where every other therapist quit bc I kept it professional. Even when I was getting married I did not invite them bc I kept it professional. My instinct was to invite them but I kept it all very quiet where they knew nothing of my personal life. I did not tell them I was pretty until It was too obvious to hide. They were very sweet to send me a gift basket for my son. I sent a thank u card. That's how I felt it had to be after I got fried by the witches I was friendly with & telling them anything person I should have known that the gossipy 40 year old was spreading & talking bad about me. If someone talks bad about everyone to u they will def talk badly about u. Anyway I know everyone hated Linda but monica never should have told her anything. Obviously when I was her age I did not heed the advice given to me & did the same thing. Although monica was the one it seems calling everyone & calling tripp that's why all those recordings exist. Theirs like 20 tapes 2 hrs long & I'm sure their was tons more not recorded. U just have to keep people at work cordial & professional. It's hard bc others will say ur stuck up or a b$tch but whatever it's better than becoming friends & the friendship goes south & it becomes so toxic to work with ex friends

Linda was cunning. Notice how she pulls back when Monica changes the subject to frozen dinners at Safeway. Then she circles back by complimenting Monica “you’re a zygote, you’re a knockout”. An attempt to win Monica over and then get her to spill the beans.
