This is the type of content i think we can all agree captivates us. I’ve been so caught up in CS2 that I forgot how good CS1 is.
@lewishawkes1899 ай бұрын
I've commented a few times in various places CS1 overhaul DLC for £25 or so could have been a better option than CS2, you see the stuff these content creators can do with mods and it's hard to see why we needed a full new game
@niche_creation9 ай бұрын
@@lewishawkes189 core mechanics and an optimised game engine that can utilise the cpu’s and gpu of today i think may have been the driving force, because for all intents and purposes, CS2 is much better in that regard. Gameplay mechanics and content however are lackluster and until they do some decent updates and open up modding, the creatives will seek CS1 for their outlet

I also forgot how good CS1 was when I saw CS2 content.

Please keep making your videos with voice-overs! I love hearing your voice and learning additional information about the history of the area you are building. Reminds me a lot of how Donoteat did his Franklin videos. Loving this series.

So glad to see you back in CS1. When you do get to Brooklyn and Queens, I'd be interested in seeing your version of the new IBX light rail line! Always love the way you build transit in this game, and it might help switch it up from subways, subways, and more subways in the rest of the city

I would absolutely love to see Imperatur build it like the Docklands Light Railway in London or Skytrain in Vancouver!

I’m so glad you are doing this series. I’m hooked. I’ve always wanted to do a recreation of NYC and especially manhattan and its transportation networks. But I can’t cuz… my computer. So next best thing is to watch you do it. So thank you. I’ve dreamed about recreating that interchange of the Brooklyn Bridge on the manhattan side. It’s so complex and condensed! This made my morning! Can’t wait to see what you work on next.

Loving this city! You've got the realism snd feel of New York City but in a cute little town! 🥰🥰🥰 And that's the thing! Only CS1 can build cities that are cute, realistic or both, all the while you're having FUN building it. And that's the point of a game, to have fun at it.

Enjoying the commentary, have you read the Power Broker, good read about Robert Moses' unorthodox methods to get stuff done. He was head of Parks dept in NYC not transport which is why a lot of roads are now called Parkways!

Just built a big rail/road/tram bridge complex in my modded city decided to go with 2 separate bridges cause CS makes double deck bridges so hard. Tried finding good decorative network but nothing seemed to stretch quite right.

Im thinking some sort of cities with a video game sized comparison. All of my cities would be set on big open world island maps like you’d see in all the GTA series. The city would be decent sized with big downtowns compared to the rest of the city giving the video game vibe. I’m thinking of starting with a mini New York that’s basically New York but more compressed.

I would really and I mean REALLY love it if you did this. Before I say I am a person who lives in westchester and I was wondering if you could add westchester county or a part of it. Also the cross Bronx is gonna be a nightmare probably for you especially with the George wasghtion bridge and Alexzander Hamilton bridge, so good luck. Also I hope you live dumbo. But I wonder how your gonna build the bqe and white stone. Please respond. Also when I mean by part of westchester you could add like mt Vermont and Yonkers. Or you could go all the way to the tappenze bridge. Please respond EDIT : good luck with the metro north

Why don't you just use the buildings from the New York workshop instead of creating with other assets?
@iman.a.t8 ай бұрын
Robert Moses is quite controversial. I couldn't listen to the narration without making a ton of mental notes about how white washed this version of history is. As a planner myself, I find it essential to highlight where previous planners failed, so we don't repeat the same mistakes. This project laid foundation for many projects that would displace a significant number of minority communities, and did so purposely. It wasn't by chance that many of the roads he designed cut right through black neighborhoods. These projects are revered as a symbol of "prosperity and modernization", but somehow cased so much social injustice to minorities. Nevertheless, I quite enjoyed the build.

The scaling of your city compared to the real one is way off
@misterhamstring17829 ай бұрын
In the first video he said it was a New York INSPIRED build. And although he replicates a lot, it doesn't have to be on scale.
