just come further comments on wilson: the 60/kitchen is only for the annex kitchen which is huge, and it's the tap water from our room's sinks that's not drinkable

Oh shit I’ve been drinking from the tap water all the time during my stay there

Great video with lots of info though I’d like to add that Wilson House has two distinct parts. There’s the older part with the joined up Victorian houses (standard singles, standard doubles and smaller kitchens) and then there’s the newer annex extension building (which has the massive 80 person kitchen and the more expensive en suite single and double rooms).

I joined the global summerschool and asked my mentor where do I do my laundry. He told me u have to pay £2.50 for using the washing machine via the circuit app and an additional more for the dryer. Since it was too expensive for him in his first year, he washed his clothes in the shower which saved him a lot of money lmao

I was wondering if finding friends is harder if you don't stay in accommodations, even for the first year?

@@NikiSarker My old Imperial Halls of Residence back in the day, not sure if you can still stay there. To be fair Pembridge and Fisher hall were probably the worst ones. I was there even before Eastside was built.

@@mixeduphouse4428 I’m staying at pembridge hall this year, but I heard that pembridge hall will no longer be a part of imperial accom after this year, not sure if that’s true or not😂

I really want to get in contact with someone from Kemp porter but it's a new accomodation which means not a lot of people have experience lol

Hi!!! My friend is living in kemp porter and loves it there! She's given me a little virtual tour of the place and the kitchen, room + her bathroom look great (: She has said that it's not loud at all, shops are fairly close by and there's a gym very close to it too! If you want anymore info feel free to add me sc: Plxcha I'm starting in September, most likely gonna pick Kemp Porter.. it seems to be the best one excluding the distance from campus, but even that isn't a problem - you'd be travelling with friends everyday (:

@@nikolaplocha2796 Yh i think woodward and kemp portar are hands down the best halls but for a first yr the distance is a bit demotivating.

Kemp Porter was the best hall to be in during covid since you can make friends easily and all the facilities such as the common room and games room make sure you can spend a good time together. The views are also incredible on higher floors. I was relatively low on the 10th floor and still had an excellent view. The window design really makes rooms and the kitchen feel open and give you a refreshing view of London.

Hey Niki! This was a very informative video. I've recently received an offer at Imperial and have also received access to my accommodation app. Something that keeps reiterating itself throughout the app is that apparently, even though there is Wi-Fii access in bedrooms, it is not very strong. Is this true? How would you suggest freshers ought to tackle this?

I think bc of covid in the twin rooms where you normally have a roommate, only one person can live there atm
