5:45 Yes, this is a thing. In the Dawn of War series, you have the Space Marine terminator honor guards - they are teleporting heavy assault shock infantry equipped with shields and a power weapon called a thunder hammer. They're so dangerous that you can use them as melee anti-tank.

5:43 Scorched used a Thunder hammer on that tank. Specifically a Heavy Thunder Hammer which are only used by the Space Marines. With the use of a Distortion Field replicate the already "F-You in particular" hit to be that of an actual lightning bolt hitting something. Aka swing leads to massive explosion to just instantly blow up the target.

The Bosnian Knight is straight up one of my favorite jokes in these videos. I swear. It's always hype when it shows up, and is also very hilarious. The theme song and editing do help, though. Oh, also, I hit play for a moment and heard the words "that is a big mech" and boy, you have no idea how big these mechs get. They get...... BIG. Like... I think the biggest model is the one with an entire full-sized Cathedral on its back?

7:46 While proportions in the mod are a little wonky (space marines are supposed to be double or triple the size of a regular person, for example) Imperial/Chaos Knights come in a lot of sizes and shapes (especially the chaos variants, since demon magic and warp f-ckery is involved). That is all to say, the knight depicted here is actually of the smaller variety.

In Warhammer 40k there are melee weapons called Power Weapons, the energy field on the weapon disrupts molecular bonds making it cut almost anything with ease. To my understanding bladed Power Weapons have a constant energy field you can turn ON and OFF and cut from it is similar to Star Wars lightsaber. Blunt Power Weapons do a massive energy discharge on impact. The most iconic is the Thunder Hammer, you can guess by the name what kind of sight and sound on impact it makes. All power weapon are basically anti-armor but some are more effective than others.

It can be dealt with mostly anti tank weaponry including but not limited to Rocket launchers Tanks Aircrafts And artillery But considering the thing comes equipped with an ion shield and is fast as hell, it’s not that easy to deal with, being not only significantly well armed be it with a 30mm onslaught punnisher Gatling cannon which is essentially an A10 strapped to its arm along with a twin heavy flamethrower for added anti infantry, it’s other weapons can include A rapid fire battle cannon so effectively an automatic tank gun, plasma cannon, reaper chainsword, power fist, and that’s about it for the standard knight weaponry, other additional weapons can include a hailstorm rocket launcher system firing a massive barrage of anti infantry rockets, oracle missile launcher for anti vehicles and an Icarus twin auto cannon for anti infantry or mostly as an anti aircraft weapon, other knight classes include the sun classes known as armingers which are smaller and weaker knights but no less dangerous, being capable of wielding two medium heavy weapon systems such as a twin linked heavy melta cannon, a chain glaive and auto cannon along with either a heavy stubber or melta gun on its back, also the larger knights can carry either a melta or stubber on its carapace and the armingers also carry shield generators on them so they’re not completely vulnerable, up next is the knights dominus class which are the largest knights available to the imperium being an arminger in height larger than your standard knight, they can boast far far far heavier weapons such as The thunder coil harpoon which shoots a massive harpoon at an enemy in which large amounts of energy is then sent down into the chain electrocuting its target. The confligeration can on is effectively a triple barreled flamethrower cannon primarily used on hellhound tanks but only one at a given time. The plasma decimator is effectively a super sized plasma cannon And the most feared weapon of all the volcano lance which is essentially a super beefed up version of a lascannon or to be more accurate a hand gun version of the lance typically used on starships and a cut downed version of the volcano cannon used primarily on the shadowsword super heavy tank meant primarily for dealing with enemy titans. And those are some of the imperial titans most commonly used excluding some of the more rarer and illusive ones used by much older noble or fallen houses such as the knight lancer, the knight questorus which is armed with a power siege claw along with a lightning cannon which essentially fires literal bolts of lightning at a target much like a Tesla cannon, however think of it as being hit by a bolt of lightning powerful enough to power a small nuclear reactor and you get the idea, other chaos knights include the abominant which is a standard knight but is instead armed with elctro scourge which is a bunch of electrified metal tenticals and vulkite combustor which is essentially a beefed up version of a vulkite calivurn.

Usually when huge bosses arrive they are taken down if you have enough firepower. There are quite a few things that are so overpowered the only way to take them down is to bruteforce them with sheer, sundering, firepower. Fortunately that is the imperial guard's specialty. Also yes, melee is very much viable in this universe. We got chainswords, power swords, huge power fists, lightning claws, and thunder hammers that rival the gravity hammer with pure force. Who knows what the other races have for close combat.

Knights are basically uber big heavy tanks. Damage a leg joint and it can be immobilized, hit it with Anti-Tank weapons and it can be destroyed. The bipedal configuration actually creates a number of weak points, so it's usually easier to kill than the heaviest tank options.

idk if you can melee them to death in 40k but it's certainly possible in Arma. The vehicles are paper mache, a stiff breeze will ignite them
