I enjoy this video but it’s somewhat offputting that you would dismiss fanworks, many of which are of far superior quality and creativity than what GW produces, as “Fancrap”. Please be aware that right now many in the community are hurting as their favorite content creators have been shut down some of whom were their portals into the fandom.

Yeah i got a gripe about that. Its normal to piss away a planets population in the effort of kicking the chaos legions, but i was thinking if they had used a couple air raids to bomb some of the defences the guardsmen could've been in better shape. This can be ignored simply saying the bombs are worth more than the guardsmen, but im a sentimentalist. I want the guardsmen to come out of this intact. I'm a rogue trader sorta mentality so if i heard this was going on i would be landing medical triages and some defences. See since i saved some of your boys you can sign for the credits spent right? Right? Lol

@@TheHandofDestiny I get the Grim Dark vibe, but if even a speck of reality was observed by the Imperium they would understand they are throwing away men and materials unnecessary, regardless if they have a billion worlds to draw from. War is about logistics, that the opponent with the most will eventually win over those who don't Considering the Imperium is faced with multiple threats from all sides, that Chaos can recycle its losses, Tyranids multiply like lice, and Orks easily come from fungus, compared to the slow birth and development of humans to reach the age to carry a weapon, they really should use more ordinance that flesh and blood to survive against so many enemies. Besides, its a waste of experienced troops and leaders to throw them away in human wave attacks. But yeah, I get it. That's the appeal of the 40K universe.

I'm pretty sure the only reason the Imperium is still alive is because of plot, because realistically there's just no way when a few dozen Orks can kill a Space Marine, and there's only about 1 million Space Marines left, to say nothing of the other enemies that surround the Imperium. I agree with the prophesy in that Last church fan film about the clock ticking, meaning the start of the Emperor's Great Crusade marked the beginning of the end.

Consider that a normal Imperial Hive World has at least 100 billion people, and many have over 1 trillion, the Imperial Guard never runs out of men. This was only the first scout battalion. 100 more regiments are coming, with tanks and artillery as well.
