from what the analyst board's discords says ... the 2 skills are completly separate.... they have the same "flying shield" name but are unrelated so the "keen eye" mastery trait does not influence the flying shield passive attack

Nice video man, I'm a returning player. I'm a Poleaxe and main and nodachi too and mainly used Paladins and Imp javs + stalwarts sometimes. I'm happy to see that imp javs are still relevent now unlike the other two. I was wonering do you think they'll work with nodachi or does it have to DB? It used to work really well with poleaxe ult

One of the Best unit to counter everything at 4:1 Ratio rating, this unit have the best potential of blind snipe kill among all range even more better than Shenji in term of close combat with the awesome Block melee or range dmg.

I always run imp javs, tercio and another heroic unit with DB. Imp javs are great against hvy armoures, they got so good burst dmg you can wipe a hvy in one throw. With tercio you just use the 2 ability- once i had 3 heavy armours almost full health standing on a point, just used tercio fusiliade ability and all 3 died. My tip for new players with imp javs is only to use the 4 ability on heroes who are engaded in combat. Only thing to note is that the javs fly pretty slow, so if you have a enemy hero staring at youre javs, there is no point wasting that throw. He will dodge. I always wait till the enemy heroes are fighting youre/ allied units and then throw. Another good one is to you marked for death/ stealth kick onto an enemy hero and then throw.

they always were a good melee unit they just needed strong hero support to be good at melee and you had to know how to pick your fights, i always specced into flying shield even when it wasn't "meta"

I see you're running into similar match-ups to what I'm getting: Only 3 people on the other team NOT in heavy armor. The heavy armor classes are only 40% of the classes in the game, but they're being used by 70-80% of the players. They either need to nerf heavy armor or buff some of the other classes in order to get more balance in the game.

And yet they still get oneshot. What does it even matter if you are heavy or light armour if javs, musha, samurai, shieldmaidens in sword mode and many, many other units can instagib you. Even tanks like SS and LS get oneshot easily. Maybe if the SS is full hp and has ironsides up he won't die and if LS has the heal popping and is also full hp he will barely live but even that isn't a guarantee. Heroes in this game are not like champs in League of Legends. Purple and Gold units eat any lone hero alive.

@@teddykazandjiev Depends on the unit. Musha are fast enough to cause problems for most heroes. Javs only get kills if the heroes don't move laterally. You generally won't see people (with any experience) having their javs throw at heroes unless their either standing still or CC'd. A lot of purple units don't do great burst damage, so people in heavy armor might lose some health, but can generally escape. Really, only yolo cav and orochi samurai are the only things that one-shot / insta-kill heavy armors (at least if they're not standing still). Also, I've seen a lot of heavy armors - particularly mauls, shortswords, and poleaxes CC mushas and prevent them from attacking effectively. You don't see spears, nodachis, or any lighter armor pulling that off (although SOME of the light armors -- bow, chaindart) have escapes that can effectively get them out of harm's way.

Yeah, I have for now. They are just not really worth playing. Dagger axe lancers are better and cost less leadership, and on the other end of the spectrum, Yolo cav exists

no idea why u using them with antiunit doctrins .... this unit was and will be antiHERO, doctrins and veterancy lineis absolutely wrong! They just make mastery for them to be a liiiiiiitle bit better against units

Why the hell would you want anti hero doctrine on them? lol they one shot heros regardless 🤣 so you get zero benefits from it... and with the shield throw, 90% of the time, you will be using it to kill units... and I'm not really sure how my venterancy line is all wrong? That just your opinion...
