Fascinating!! I have a question,I have an old fixed blade and from what I can gather it reads Imperial Gudedge Solingen Germany on the tang and 23 HI on opposite. Never been able to find info on this one, any ideas?

Thanks for sharing. Germany produced quite a few Knives for Decades stamping them with American company names. I have seen German knives stamped Western’ Germany etc. Some of those Solingen shops were sneaky I guess you could say. Those knives will always be stamped Germany or Solingen usually on reverse tang. I will dig into that stamp of yours. See if I can find any reference. Best! Dwayne
