They both look like they have nice components, like you said, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference between them component-wise. I don't know if I'd go for the European or the Global map, I might prefer a version that has both, printed on either side of the board, so you can pick and play depending on the mood. I'm sure there's differences in playing a global map vs a more localized map. Even if you'd be playing the same rules between Risk and Ikusa, I think the feel would be somewhat different. But that's just me, I think. Biggest issue I'd have with either version is the money. Thin paper is not a thing you put in a game as money anymore, find something else, tokens, chits, poker chips, money cards (like Monopoly Deal) or anything else, but thin paper money. The industry should have abandoned that over twenty years ago, in my opinion. Had a good time watching this one. Thanks for your video.

This is a game from a different era so the components reflect that. These games ended up just being too long and involved for me.

Apart of the illustration on the box of imperial 2030, which is one of the ugliest ive ever seen... since Rio Grande upgraded the rules of Imperial with the few changes brough by imperial 2030, the most significant remaining difference between the two games is the map. For a given number of players, on the european map, the conflicts will take place frequently and soon in the game, where on the global map, there is more room for economic developpement without frictions.. at least during a longer part of the game.
