When you're running a dated ass engine and some of the worst online security ever? Possible, and easy. This was hyper common on old COD games when they get abandoned on the next release.

I still think he should’ve left the moment he noticed the aimbot. It doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not, it’s unfair. It doesn’t scream innocent to find out you have aimbot and just stay in the game rather than leave to prevent your unfair advantage.

Gen was given aimbot AND wallhacks. Either way they chose to respond (hal n Gen) EA was going to have to nix the whole thing

100% his teammates were telling him to leave but he just stayed. Probably because Hal is so competitive he didn't want the disadvantage from leaving

I think the entire discussion is pointless - debating whether a competitive pro player who takes the game seriously should leave and sacrifice their placing or not is meaningless. Why should they leave when there”s a chance the game will play out fully and now they get penalised? Hal deciding to just roll with it forcing them to shut the game down and nullify the results was the best move - I doubt he got aimbot and thought let’s go I’m going to publicly abuse this and get kills and it’s all going to be counted towards my placing. Genburten left and his game fully played out

Nah cause him playing thru causes the match to be rightfully nullified. If he was in public or ranked, yes leave asap. But leaving a tournament only puts your team at a disadvantage and not possibly nullifying the match. It was big brain move by Hal to let it rip.

He stayed so the game would have to be nullified. Genburten also had aim, left, and his game played all the way to the end. Hal intentionally stayed so the devs would have no choice but to nullify the game and the tournament. It's not cringe it's smart.

@@captainchippie4454 how can you disagree? You realize this is gonna make EA nervous as far as not knowing if he’ll return again during the next events and then LAN. If he does it again during LAN to even just one person…the whole LAN has to be cancelled because it’s compromised and can’t confirm how many people he’s helping. Cancelling an ESPORTS LAN over one dude hacking you is beyond embarrassing and it will hurt their stock price because they will lose trust. And if this hurts EA financially…they will have no choice but to fix the anti cheat or else shareholders won’t be happy

Some of yall making this dude out to be a hero are completely insane. Do you lack any and all reasoning and thinking skills at this point? There is no world where something like this can be turned into a positive.
