I'm so old I read the rogue trader 'ere we go' ork book and I read of the dice rolls that gave ghazghkull all of his mods & created him. Back then, he was an example. I liked the 'battle for Armageddon' game too, ghazghkull gave plenty of boosts to any stack of orks he was with.

@@Dragonologist The race the Orks are descended from, the Krork, were extremely smart and technologically advanced, with even more ruthlessness, rapid breeding and warp powers as the "modern day" Orks in the 40k universe. They were made to be the ultimate weapon, they adapt to the threat they are against, the reason they devolved from Krorks to Orcs is because they do not have the constant challange required to encourage that form. If the Orcs were threatened to the extent that they were when they were fighting the endless war against the Necrons then it is likely they will return to their Krork form, or a similar one.

If they’re dumb how come they can bring someone back from a gunshot wound to the skull without it significantly decreasing their intelligence? If we compare them to humans now we can’t even do that. We also aren’t able to produce spaceships that can traverse star systems. I’m just saying as a whole they’re pretty smart. They also intuitively grasp how their technology works from their genetics. We humans have to learn and build on previous knowledge while ork mekboyz are born with that knowledge. I just think if orks existed in the real world our species currently would rank below theirs as far as intelligence goes as a civilization.

I just wanted to say how much I admire this channel. A lot of lorehammer people fuck up tons and misconstrue the lore with their own little homebrew ideas. I really apreciate how grounded your channel is with giving us the story as it is with even the narrator taking a backseat. You make videos focused on lore and lore alone and for anyone new to 40k I think youd be very important. Even leutin fucks up and makes up stuff all the time but you have a talent and focus that I really respect and I would recommend this channel over all others if people want 40k as it is written.

I mean the lore is literally designed for that. It's supposed to be all unreliable narration that you can add your own little homebrew ideas to. Like if you're talking about "as it is written" then you haven't read a lot of it, but it's deliberately contradictory and all told in first person from people who might not be getting it right.

If you ever read Brutal Kunnin, which is peak 40k literature, told from the Orks perspective, the bois love traveling through the Warp, because it gives them someone other than eachother to fight. I always laugh to think of what would happen if a waagh accidentally spilled into the Warp.

He … should be … but there was a storyline about a group of Orks about 3 or 4 millennia prior who were even more developed and intelligent than Thrakka. The Imperium was so scared of them that they literally called them Primorks.
