I liked it. Do you know if there is any information about the topography of the oceans/waters that surround Tamriel? I don't think there would be, but if an official map was found, even just a partial map, a lot of information about the world and history of Tamriel may come to light.

Flames Of Chaos that is true but i do stil think its highly unlikly as then Bethesda would have to create an entirely different political landscape and also i think they would like to keep yokuda in a shroud of mystery and keep us guessing
@flamesofchaos136 жыл бұрын
@@tjurti6803 Why a different/changed political plot? 1. That WOULDN'T be a bad thing at all. But more importantly 2. Neither an Akaviri Invasion or going to Yokuda change the political scheme at all....Yokuda is either a Barren Wasteland but made up of Islands OR it's an Hammerfell Military/Trade Port OR it's a Pirate Haven and all the Pirates would be connected to either the Empire, Hammerfell or the Dominion using them as a Proxy Service Force against their enemies at sea. (Very MUCH within the Politics of Tamriel especially the Empire's and Dominion's Tactics as of Late 4th Era.) As for the Akaviri the Thalmor are so Extremist and Radical an Akaviri Invasion would change NOTHING they'd let the Akaviri genocide/enslave Mankind and the Empire entirely and conquer Half of Tamriel because of their Absolute Hatred of all things Man. An the Empire no matter what would ALWAYS fight the Akaviri they've been Brutal Enemies in every single one of the Invasions and the Akaviri killed a previous Emperor there would NEVER be a Peace Treaty or Stalemate or Surrender to the Akaviri Forces the Empire WOULD fight them until either the Akaviri die or they die. An here's the thing Skyrim's Symbolism depicts the Empire as already Crumbling to Ruin that their already dead so if the Akaviri come in and wipe them out it makes complete Narrative Sense given all the Symbolism of the Falling Empire. Even if there's no Akaviri there is really NO guarantee at all that the Empire will be in ESVI, The Second Great War might of already happened by then and the Empire might have already Lost it through the Elves Cheating with Magical Artifacts and through the Stormcloaks actually Winning the Civil War splintering the Empire on the Precipice of War. An whether the Empire ultimately Win the Civil War or Not it DOESN'T matter they already diverted their attention to it which the Thalmor used to their Tactical Advantage....Hell most likely the Emperor's death is Canon and it was a Thalmor-Backed Candidate that took over the Empire(So the Empire could become a Puppet-State of the Dominion) OR they Invaded Cyrodiil again DURING the Events in Skyrim because we got NOTHING on what exactly was going on in Cyrodiil during the Civil War and Dragons Returning in ALL that Chaos maybe the Thalmor ALREADY started the Great War 2 and NOBODY knew it happened in Skyrim yet! If ANY of that happen before ESVI then get this the Akaviri Invasion would just not matter Politically because it changed nothing, It'd also be that it turns out the Good Guys because they could Avenge the Fallen Empire and Destory the Evil Fucking Elven Dominion....I don't know would you want personally Tiger Overlords or Elven Overlords enslaving Mankind and other Mer and Beasts? PLUS haven't you realized something that's already set in stone in the Lore? The Empire COULD and WILL Fall BUT that's NOT the same thing as Mankind itself! Men have ALREADY been Enslaved time and again by Dov(Dragons), Mer(Elves) such as the Ayleid and Direnni, Been Attacked time and time again by the Beasts, Demons and Elves.....YET they KEEP GOING the Empire has had THREE versions not even counting the The First Nordic Empire and Peoples like the Nedes and Yokudans themselves....The Empire CAN Fall BUT Men WILL Endure they WILL have a Voice(Political Factions, Religious Organizations and Rebellions) ALWAYS! Neither the Elves or Tigers will be able to change the Very Nature of Man they just can't. You see the Politics for all of this has already been put in place now the Domino's Pizza Delivery Boy just has to get here in 30 minutes or else!
@tjurti68036 жыл бұрын
Flames Of Chaos i completely agree with you regarding the empire the dominion and the akiviri however i did not say that an akiviri invasion couldn’t happen i just meant that we very likely wouldn’t go to akivir as when you look at the info wich is in the lore about akivir and how big the continent is that Bethesda doesn’t want to go to akivir they just want to focus on tamriel as making a dlc or a game about akivir would take a lot of time and effort while Bethesda really wants to focus on Tes6 and starfield but an akiviri invasion as a plot for tes 6 i agree that could happen on the matter of yokuda you are entirely right we could indeed go to it, as i failed to realize in my earlier comment how barren the land could be and that they could still let us go to it as it wouldn’t take away the mystery
@Bus_Driver_Jay6 жыл бұрын
You say that the distance between Tamriel and Yakuda isn’t far, however if we assume the map to be designed to show the appearance of the world, and not a nautical map designed to let captains plot courses, then the potential distance between the land masses could easily reach a far bigger scale. Using the part of the imperial province we can see, it seems that the main island may be about as far, if not further, than Anvil to Morrowind.
@flamesofchaos136 жыл бұрын
But taking the Map as is then it is a good distance away from Tamriel...An the reason there's probably little contact with it is because of the Sload on Thras which is closer to the Tamriel Continent and also maybe Pirates, Maomer and Altmer intervention that make the Seas dangerous routes to travel.
@judgedrekk2981 Жыл бұрын
yeah, think of it like real world maps, everyone thinks russia is this massive place, it's big bit not that massive and many think Alaska is this dinky ass state?? wrong technically the land mass of Europe is slimmer in width east to west than the US is, the US is the widest land mass there is, so while russia appears to circle half the globe this is an unfortunate exaggeration of map design, depicting land masses on a flat space Alaska is technically larger than most of the continental US even dwarfing Texas....it's insane to think that we have a patch of land that's hard to get to yet dwarfs the primary states lolz okay, that in mind Yokuda could be a lot smaller or a lot bigger than we see on maps, it'd just take asking the right dev i guess? I'll take the safe road and say Yokuda is probably 3/4 the size of Ciridil and that the original size was probably a quarter the size of all of Tamriel....which still leaves a lot of options but like i said that's more a middle of the road guess and I'm probably off lol

Though if we do get at a Yokuda expansion in ESO, hopefully the structures would resemble those of Ancient Mali, like the older structures in Timbuktu. Since it is lore-wise an inhospitable desert, lumber would probably be hard to come by, and mud / sandstone bricks would probably be their main construction materials.

Most of us know that TES lore is unique due to limited, _realistically gathered_ knowledge, as most is written by historians in-universe. So perhaps, the state of the Yokudan continent was common knowledge when the Pocket Guide to the Empire was written, and after the civil war between the Crowns and the Forebears in Hammerfell, that information may have lost it's written form. And now the only ones who know the solid facts are the many traders of eastern Tamriel post-war. Nice memes btw 👌

The remnant lands of Yokuda would make for some sweet new races that have survived thus far for mostly logical reasons mixed with fantastical ones, as this is Elder Scrolls we're talking about. Personally West African cultures would fit best. Ghanaian, Nigerian, and Liberian specifically. For Nigeria, the Zin Kibarus would be cool. They're blind fish spirits who specialize in beast summoning magic and can live underwater. From Songhai folklore. They'd easily have access to the sunken parts of Yokuda. They'd only be 3rd person playable tho. Would still be great. For a Ghana/Ashanti race, the Anansi would be dope. Odd looking Yokudans who can turn into humanoid spiders. In the irl myth, They're the descendants of Kwaku Anansi, the trickster god. For Liberia inspired race I'm not too sure. Any suggestions?

I sort of know one of the metaphysical theories. To understand this metaphysical theory you have to know about the kalpic cycle. Basically Yokuda was a landmass that existed on Nirn in the previous kalpa. Alduin in that kalpa was known as Satakal, and he was preparing to eat the world like he always does. A quick thing to note is that the divines and other deities are different from Kalpa to Kalpa. Akatosh was a God known as Ruptga or "Tall Papa". Ruptga didnt want the Yokudans to get destroyed, so he taught them a "walking way" so that they could avoid Satakal's maw. To put it simply, Sep taught them how to sidestep into another timeline (kalpa) rather than continue on the current one until it ends. They left that Kalpa and Yokuda behind and ended up in this one. And here's *my own* speculation. The reason you see the remains of Yokuda in this kalpa and not the whole continent would be because it's a "hazy memory". Since we're all aware that the TES universe is a dream, the dreamer only kind of remembers Yokuda and therefore just placed the bits it remembers where Yokuda used to be in the previous Kalpa. Think about how when you wake up and only kind of remember what your dreamed about. It's kind of like that.
