Why was the Roman Empire still there after it collapsed I'm assuming because you use the Western Roman Empire interchangeably with it which is fair but the Byzantine Empire was there before the Roman Empire fell and when it was there the population was far lower than it should've been since it was about 20 million before the Muslim invasions and the plague lowered it by quite a bit.

I feel this is where he went wrong. The eastern Roman Empire was always the most populous, richest part of the Roman Empire. So when that became the Byzantine Empire in around the 400s AD, the population should've bumped up tremendously for the Byzantine Empire and gone down a lot for the Roman Empire in this graphic. It didn't.

Because when they get in decline, they are conquered by other empires. For example, you would see gupta empire (the empire under when there was golden age of India) coveted an area of 3.5 million sq km. After the Huna invasions, they became weak and went onto decline. Their ruling area became less so their population shift to other dynasty/empire

Japan has always been a highly populated country, going all the way back to 500 AD. The soils of Japan are extremely fertile due to the fact that they're volcanic. So lots of rice could be grown on very little land. Couple that with Japan's cold waters--some of the most productive fisheries on Earth are found around the Japanese islands. These two factors--lots of rice and lots of fish--allowed Japan to become crowded very early on, at around 800 AD or so.

I know these bar graphs take so long to make but I don't think these are really anywhere near realistc past like 2100. I think the reason is your assuming the population will countine to grow which looking at growth right now makes sense, but the reason for places like Africas massive growth is due to falling fatality and growing fertility. But this will not last forever, as we saw with the industrial revolution and rapid advances in healthcare, we saw the population boom, then after like 100-150 years it for the most part slowed to a point where growth was happening but at a slow rate. Like for example the United States, which is still growing and expected to be growing for a while but not nearly at the rate as it did before. Also it doesn't really make sense that in 100 years places like Nigeria and Tanzania will have 400m-1.1b people when they are quite small. In all reality. Most estimates place the world population leveling at around 10 billion people. I still appreciate the effort though because I know these bar-race graphs take days to do. Especually on the timespan of 5 millennia

Based on what popular in western knowledge only. Indonesia only represent by 1 kingdom at a time 🤣🤣🤣 When the lowest on the list less than 2million population it should be at least 3 kingdom after 1000AD. By the way the archipelago populated more than western think. Its very fertile and arable land are vast. But the things are, People are still migrate to all pacific region and madagascar and massive disaster happens very often.
