A gross over oversimplification. Just like with most things we need to practice moderation; be willing to perform some self introspection at times. Pure dichotomies rarely exist in reality and this is no exception. Kind of like the Berenstain bears, we have to find the balance that is just right.

Yes, there are multiple studies done on the IAT by the same Washington university researcher and his collaborators and other researchers (who showed that there is very little correlation to back up the IAT). The rest are derivative studies where researchers attempt the find implicit bias without utilizing the IAT itself.

The flimsy theory of implicit bias summed up: Racial intolerance of blacks is (and I agree) something that should be countered. Racial intolerance of whites, white-passing, light-skinned and lighter-skinned people of non-African descent, white-adjacent and the "melanin deficient" is to be encouraged to counter "white privilege". That is also what social justice is about.

Our teachers are such a wonderful resource and so incredibly valuable, but NEA has so many terrible liberal ideas and support such a horrible president, they are making lives for our teachers way more difficult than they should be! NEA needs to support teachers, not have blanket support of liberal ideas that make our teachers’ jobs and lives so much more difficult!
