an simpler approach: notice that x=y/e^y, differentiate to find dx/dy, and substitute into original formula and you'll find it very easy to prove it

more fun to solve the DE and show that the given y is a subset of the solution space

once you find dy/dx, could you have rearranged to isolate dy/dx and then continue the question? I tried that but can't seem to finalise the answer, but when i tried with a few hints from the video of not rearranging i got it fine ?

dy/dx=e^y/(1-y), differentiate again and it's done

Yep but it's quite a rollercoaster to rearrange. Try it
