Yes you can do it in same way like standard object

You don't need to add any fields to export custom object data, it will come by default.

@@MegaHossamking Yes , if you have custom object administration role or sales administrator role you can select the custom object to export just like ootb object.

Please make sure you have assigned the proper role to import the objects. Eg. Sales Administrator/ Sales Vp/ Sales Manager...
