John, I have found a few of my surplus yugoslavian 8mm 1950's rounds to actually have the projectile not secure, as in able to spin/rotate by hand. Have you experienced this? Have you fired any rounds with those characteristics? Thanks.

Oh, interesting. I’ve seen that fairly rarely, but I haven’t fired them. Personally, I would feel ok with it as long as the bullet is not pushed down into the shell, and specifically in a strong action like Mausers have. Fire at your own risk.
