I personally have no issue dying to AI when it happens in a logical manner i.e. having an all out firefight and i re-peak a corner or expose myself and get lit up after they know exactly where I am. I do get mad when i'm using a suppressed sniper rifle and shoot a an AI/NPC from over 500m+ away at night while peaking a tree/wall and they instantly turn and 1 tap me to the chest or head while i'm wearing class 3 armor (after they tanked a bullet to the head). mean while they are using some un-scoped hand me down AK that their great great grandfather passed down to them lol and even more frustrating if you do kill them instantly every other NPC in the area instantly know where you are ( again at night, in cover with a suppressed rifle ) what's the point in suppressors. Anyways that was before this patch so hopefully it's better I will get around to trying it out soon (unless enough people tell me it's still bugged) lol

still happens man. unfair ai deaths definitely happen more at high tier areas, less in low tier areas

@@j.a.i.6626see I solo narith no issue but ybl one taps instant in weird situations. I haven’t had issues in high tier places and I’m almost 600hrs in game.

Hey Crash! I knew you were going to be quick on this patch! Its honestly a huge change and I welcome it. I just lost 50k doing really rough missions on Fort Narith which I completed first try after the update! I wish they had delayed the 0.2 to include this so the public reception would have been better. Keep up the great work Crash and have a great winter holiday! 🎄

Me and a friend played today I died 2 times by one tap shoulder shots when I came back and we checked bodies AI had 5 to 6 shots to head should neck chest. Some of the AI don’t even have helmets on and still take neck and head shots

I didn't have that much if an issue with the AI, if i died it was usually an issue on my side where i re peaked or got outgunned. Comparing to before the update where they would just swarm you it feels much more realistic. Even tarkov in their PVE mode is still in the swarming stage of their AI so i'm very impressed that they fixed it that fast in GZW.

I think the AI are worse as far as bullet sponges and they completely follow you behind walls shooting at the wall right where put at like there’s no obstacles to cover you. I went around a building and there AI was pre aimed at the corner I came out on and dropped me as soon as I peaked

I agree with what you say about getting killed by AI. I requested my money back on the game in the beginning because of it. I waited to long and steam denied me. In the end I’m happy they did because with the updates I have really enjoyed the game.

I see more one shot deaths to teammates in arms and legs now by super accurate ai hip firing from 100yrds or more. Also the shotgun can’t shoot thru windows with Sab rounds? Today ran into ai at TB and died 3 times by one shot to upper arm at night. Tell me how ai can see someone in forest at night with no NVGs?

The problem isn't dying to AI, it is dying in an unfair way, encounters against bots have to be fun and engaging, the devs need to fool you into thinking you're fighting against something that thinks and is alive while keeping it fair, in Grayzone Warfare the bots don't feel alive and they we're sometimes bullet sponges and terminators that saw you perfectly through bushes and even walls, which isn't fun, neither realistic and totally breaks immersion. After this last hotfix Idk i guess I'll have to try it, hoping that it feels better. If you play something like F.E.A.R you'll know how fun it can be just fighting against bots, even when they kill you.

like you said, dying to ai sucks but since this update, the ai kills feel "fair". like before they were questionable but since this hot fix anytime I die I look back and think "yeah, I deserved that for being a dummy". as a long time player im very happy with this fix!

They should close the join operation servers. This game is PVE enough in the PVPVE mode, and we'll have more engagements with other real players

Its creative that the AI just don't stand there and actually take real like cover, and people are frustrated with it not being a usual dummy in game that you can just unload on and move, lol

They should take the A.i 1 shots out...A.I. difficulty is cool..one shots are not let them damage armour etc use the Injury system... I get 1 shotted from A.I my armour helmet everything is undamaged..it's bs....just take 1 shots out of game. Other than that work on A.I. not the difficulty

I was pretty hypped with this game,untill I realised how slow it would take to be a Finished Product!!!Since a few updates the perfformance dropped a lot,more crashs...and having to do all over again every six months???Thats basically the definition of Insanity!!!!The game looks AWESOME,but I also had a ex girlfriend that looked awesome,but on the other hand she was a b**** 🤣😂 looks isnt everything,things running smooth usually are the main goal!!!Like with my ex girlfriend,when we have big expectations we almost gonna have bigger disapointments,thats me with Gray Zone Warfare! On the other hand theres Delta Force,thats Free ,runs and looks great and several different game modes,so we dont have to the same thing over and over again,turnning the game boring af!!!

I would have agreed with you a few months ago but this patch and the hotfixes they've been putting out over the past few weeks have been nothing short of stellar. Both optimization and AI are noticeably better right now than they were even 2 weeks ago. And I can respect being conservative with the road map instead of overpromising and underdelivering like 98% of companies do. The team very clearly cares about making the game live up to the insane potential it has and you see it everywhere from the work they've done this patch alone with the QoL changes and one of the most realistic portrayals of NODs in gaming to the community streams to how interactive the devs and CM's are on the discord. IMO this game has the potential to be the king of extraction shooters in 1-2 years if they keep at this pace. ABI is fun in moderation but it's not milsim at all and P2W cause Tencent, Delta Force is meh IMO cause I'd rather just play Battlefield if I want Battlefield like game mode and GZW or Tarkov if I want extraction instead of the half-assed mode they made , and it's very clear at this point that Nikita doesn't give a fuck anymore and is ready to drop Tarkov like a bad habit. I'm pretty excited for the future of GZW imo. It's been a long time since I actually felt like a dev team may actually deliver on most of what they're promising. It's just going to take a while to get there. Nothing wrong at all though with just sitting it out and waiting. Give it a try every new patch and see how you feel.
